About a third of the way into the year, I'm glad to still be on track: 1) Become a sexier prof, 2) no gadget purchases and overseas travel :)

If you are trying to engage me in a discussion on the Reproductive Health Bill, I hope you are ready.

To answer your question, termination of pregnancy is immoral. The current draft of the bill maintains that abortion is a punishable crime, consistent with the Constitution that guarantees equal state protection of the life of the mother and that of the unborn. The circumstances surrounding the pregnancy are irrelevant; whether you are a cougar or a 12 year-old rape victim. Once a woman gets pregnant, she has to care for it and ensure its eventual development into a full human. The RH Bill will ensure that social services are extended to her to ensure that (1) she survives the entire pregnancy and does not fall to complications, and (2) her pregnancy consummates in the birth of a healthy child, among others.

Additionally, the RH Bill creates state provisions that prevent unwanted pregnancies and ensures that /all/ pregnancies are given proper care and treatment. By increasing access to information and services related to reproductive health, there will be a significant reduction of unwanted pregnancies that will lead to abortion.

Yep, the answer was no. A lot of people had managed to do well and the grading system had been adjusted to reflect the curve, so assigning extra work wasn't necessary.

Any curving or skewing of the grades, if it will be done at all, is done after the third long test just as the exemptions list is finalized.

Here's one way to look at it: the upcoming 3rd lt and the final exam form 40% of your grade. It is still possible to get a much higher grade than your standing. Hope that helps.

Nope, just remember to go over the readings for Sept 23 to 30 aside from those discussed in class. That will be the coverage of the third long test. Feel free to consult :)

Yes. If you feel that anything needs to be corrected, just come to the department with the test paper.

I've answered this many times before. The spreadsheet measures cuts in hours, not incidences because the student handbook does not define "cut," but prescribes that you can miss (number of units) * 3 hours of class.

    20. Daryl Patrick Ruiz

For starters, the cuts wouldn't matter. You are entitled to miss up to nine hours of class and we don't take it against you if you do.

Now, if you had been participating in class, he actually might. The important thing now is to prepare well for the third long test.
