The Donut Man is a hero.
"Life Without Jesus Is Like a Donut
Where there's a hole in the middle of your heart.
It might be okay for a while
Then the truth will wipe away your smile
There's something sad inside me I cannot control
When I think about a donut hole."
Honestly, how can you NOT like a guy who wrote that?!? -
Stop complaining, whoever you are. I can't change how God made me.

Holiness is the opposite of sin. More specifically, living our lives according to God's Word is the opposite of sin. Sin is any thought or action that is adverse to God's character and will. Both his character and will are revealed in the Bible. Therefore sin can be any thought or action adverse to the intent of Scripture.

I think this happens because of pride. The gospel is very humbling because it essentially says that the only thing we bring to the table is our sin, whereas we feel like we can slip a few good works in as well. We also see pride in legalism when we judge others who have different preferences and standards than we do. Legalism looks in a condescending way at people who don't measure up in some way. I think this condescension is pride, because it fails to see how we also have failed God in so many ways.

I wanted to be the Donut Man. Unlike most kids that want to play in the NBA, I actually achieved this ambition, performing as the Donut Man several times, including a large audience at Celebration. We even had a Duncan puppet. It was amazing.
