The worst place I've ever taveled to was Liverpool, England. I still have nightmares.

We landed in Manchester and were harrassed by airport security to make sure we weren't meeting our internet boyfriends, then it took us ages to find our hotel which was way out of the downtown core. When we got to the hotel (the city was under massive construction btw) there was no one there. It was getting dark and I started to panic. We called them from a gas station and the owner came to pick us up in his car that was full of garbage. He was pretty drunk, had a GIGANTIC dog and stopped for a sandwich leaving us in the car. I was pretty sure I was going to die. When he finally got us back to the B&B like hotel he downed another tallboy and spit on the floor while he made us check the grammar on the wall of facts about The Beatles. God I wish I was making this up.

Finally we get up to our room, which has 5 beds in it. The owner and the dog come an go all night and only try to break into our room once. Needless to say I didn't sleep that night and we got the hell out of town first thing in the morning.
