Good luck on everything! Everything's been really chaotic over here -- funerals, graduation parties, etc. -- but it should also let up in a week or so :D I'm planning to use it eventually, I just haven't...written anything in a really long time :|

You're very welcome! And sorry I can't reply to your Twitter mention -- I've kinda forsaken it atm, but if you've written fic you should POST IT <333

lol it took me...six weeks to get that T_T I am kind of not that into kpop in an active, 85% of my iPod musically sense, and groups I used to be interested in -- SJ, f(x) -- unfortunately I have lost my motivation to pursue them, fandom-wise (although that can always change). Basically I write SHINee and I listen to Beast. I think kpop is phenomenal in that, you're right, it's always changing, because it adheres so tightly to what people want, and they're always trying to push something, not necessarily NEW, but different from the other groups out there. Ironically, I don't think they ever really achieve that. So you can argue that they do indeed change...but it's not anything genuinely NEW.
That said, I think it's still loads better -- and kpop seems more organized in general -- than, say, cpop in terms of quality/aesthetics/musical hooks. -

Hello! Thank you so much (and if you've ever left a comment, you know I say that often, but I seriously seriously mean it; never thought I could get such amazing feedback after putting my writing out there) but no, I do not! Fanfic is just for fun; I'm currently in that transition period between being a college graduate and figuring out what I want to do for the rest of my life (read: grad school/job applications), but currently I work part-time for a non-profit designing promotional materials, event planning, and your typical office operations/communications work. :)

I didn't! I honestly haven't been following him closely...at all...(besides seeing his album at a Walmart in Beijing) but to me, he's always been such a homebody, this is totally not surprising to hear!
also he has gayface. so.
but in all honesty, just the way he's always been super zipped-lips about his private life (idk about NOW of course, but how he used to be) -- I completely respect/admire that. hanchul angle aside, the obvious pandering to interviewers/audience is just so characteristically him. XD -
it looks ridic. I am SO EXCITED :D

I'm hoping his rumored concert/album/whatever is actually a huge coming-out party. other than that, I'm afraid I don't expect SJ's Hankyung to make any more appearances :\ it'd be great if it happened, I guess, but I think it's too late for that -- too many people hurt, too much time has passed, etc. but hey, keep up the hoping <3 it can't hurt

as you probably know by now, I'm still on LJ! I'm exclusively on LJ, in fact. I'm not interested in checking Twitter and Tumblr right because it's too much of the same thing and wastes a surprising amount of my time, but I'm still online, still hanging around! I always friend people who ask me directly, and honestly I have no idea who you are, but please say hi more often! I'd love to get to know you better! :)

I'm actually -- now that what's happened has happened, I kind of can't believe that he'd want to be part of it, no matter how successful. I don't think that's what he was aiming for -- like, without a doubt, a SJ album is going to be big. so the fact that he left before all that makes me think he really didn't care for that anymore. or at least, the SM way of producing it. of course, now that he's working on his own album, I have to question his judgment on like, knowing his strong points/knowing what his bankable qualities are because I kinda see the whole thing as a big joke. I'm glad the 4th album was as successful as it was, but in a way, I kind of agree -- it's nothing groundbreaking, it's just another money scheme, another gift to the fans. and that might not be that satisfying either.
I guess the thing I would want to say to him the most is, please just stick to dancing. and acting. :| -
my favorite member after Hankyung is Heechul. as in, Hankyung is my numero uno, but Heechul is my numero-uno-point-uno, yanno? he is hella close to the top. I love Hanchul because I find them an ideal to strive for, as misleading as public relationships often are, but there are things about them that are just so obvious/innate in regards to that unbreakable kind of friendship and unconditional love that you give someone who you believe owns half your soul. I also love how they make me utterly, utterly cheesy. I don't think I can switch Hank for Heech in terms of first place, because Hank's my guy despite being, in the present-day, a poophead, but they're so close to each other anyway that it hardly matters, in my opinion :)

chilling, writing a LOT, reading a lot, hanging with friends and family, and going to China! :D then applying to grad school, getting rejected from grad schools, going south (hopefully), go into hydrology

I think we have to both work on learning how to let things go better. it's easy to say, of course, but there's a lot of history and emotional/inspirational ties, but. I also believe that what I have to offer is bigger than fandom and as much genuine love that I have for these people and how they affect me, creatively, that just can't be my legacy. I mean, it's a learning process, but I think it needs to be done, finding our own stomping ground, our own little niche -- and by doing that, I kind of almost believe that we can "feel" them better. Because they're doing things and we're admiring them but we can do things that they can't. and why shouldn't we?

I...like jazz. avant-garde jazz. but Gershwin is like, the extent of my knowledge of it. it helps me relax, though :D

I'm not sure either :| this is kinda vague, I guess you could always defriend me?
