Are you calling me big? I am not a house, I just have a bit of a beer belly, that's all.

I started on tcsh but eventually became a fan of bash when I started using linux. Bash is my default shell but I do love zsh when I'm ready for commitment with my machine.
Wait, I mean... real men use sh. -
I want to say The Electric Company, because I explicitly remember getting to eat graham crackers on my grandma's rebounder while I watched it, but I can't say I actually remember the show.
See, the thing is I smoked a lot of weed as a kid. I remember coming home, grabbing a little of my grandparent's stash, and going to the RV to just kick back and relax before I started my homework.
Problem was, my grandparents started to catch on. I was careless and left the bong sitting out in their RV a couple times. I think that's when they started to suspect. And then one time, right before school let out for the summer, they walked in to find me toking up. They told my mom, and I wound up being grounded for the whole summer. That was the longest summer of my life too. The next year I tried to stay pretty clean, but do you have any idea of the stress you have to deal with in the first grade??? -
Potato roll fight!
Cat Bowling.
Pillow for "resting" cats. -
Tacos. Carne asada, 5 rolled, street cart, I don't care. Just hand over the tacos and no one will get hurt. Except mi estómago en la mañana.

I have a LOT of imaginary friends. I talk to them quite a bit too. Sometimes we go get beers (not imaginary beers thank god) and talk about other imaginary friends. It's a lot of fun, actually. We even made up a name for ourselves: Twitterers.

Fashion has never been my forté, so I've luckily been spared from embarrassing pictures and memories of me following a fad. Well, that's not wholly true - I did grow my hair out long during the whole grunge period of the early nineties. It grew to a little past shoulder length before I cut it to interview for a job as a firefighter. Good thing too, my hair was just too thick and curly for it to look good.
Luckily I have very few pictures of me with long hair, but there is a family photo floating around in which my hair is in that awkward in-between stage, and a friend recently pointed out that it looks like I had a mullet. And sure enough, at that stage of my hair growth, I had a mullet.
Oh, and I may have experimented with cornrows. -
I do like to read, but I don't do a whole lot of it anymore. I used to read classics but these days I prefer non-fiction: tales of adventure ("In to Thin Air", Jon Krakauer), politics ("Confessions of an Economic Hit Man", John Perkins), history ("A People's History of the United States", Howard Zinn), war ("The Rape of Nanking", Iris Chang), political strife ("First They Killed My Father", Loung Ung; "Shake Hands with the Devil", Lt. Gen. Romeo Dallaire). You know, real feel-good stuff. I'd rather be moved by a book than simply entertained.
The book that had the most impact on me was probably "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" by Robert Pirsig. It's been at least 10 years since I've read it though, so maybe it just came along at the right time.
Of course right now I could use something light and comedic. So... anyone have a copy of Sarah Palin's book that I could borrow? -
Star Wars, I guess? I work on computers for a living (linux no less-completely geeky) and I know I'm supposed to play video games, read comic books, love me some sci-fi, live in my parent's basement and never get laid, but I'm a terrible geek because none of that applies to me. Well, except the part about never getting laid, that applies.

No, I'm pretty even-tempered (read: boring) and it's not often I'll get so upset over something that you wouldn't want to be around me. I'm a master of keeping things pent up and releasing them little bits at a time, like farts when in mixed company. That being said, it's hell to be me in my head when I'm upset about something, which again isn't often. I think I'm secretly Canadian.

Not sure how to respond, since I'm most definitely not awesome. But thanks, I like you already. Truth be told, I'm sure I like you anyway; I'm so infatuated with everyone I follow on Tumblr, yet I hardly ever spend time on it.

Maybe bamboo worms (http://www.flickr.com/photos/rothwerx/3018571492/in/set-72157608808751670/) or roasted crickets in Thailand? I didn't do the live shrimp -I couldn't handle the thought of my food actually hopping around in my mouth in pain(?) because of the lemon juice poured on it.

Does it matter that they're not living? My grandma (Oma) would have to be the person who inspires me most. She's been gone for a few years, but she was definitely the person who shaped me into the person I am today. I know she wouldn't be happy with many of my decisions, but I also know that she was a woman of great wisdom and would also be understanding.
I don't have someone living who I can say the same thing about. Many people inspire me; anyone who cares enough to make a difference. People with conscience, people who care more for the well being of others more than themselves.
Also, your mom.
