Star Wars or Star Trek?
Stargate. :D
I used to be a huge Star Wars fan, but eventually I got kinda fed up with it. The prequel stuff is increasingly lame, and the Star Wars "fan group" I was in mostly moved on. I still enjoy the 3 original films a lot though, and "The Empire Strikes Back" is my favourite. I can still quote back reams of EU information and back-history if I need to though. The Thrawn Trilogy was really good, and I've read those multiple times. But that's mostly because Timothy Zahn is awesome. Go read "The Blackcollar". It's about space ninjas.
My experience with Star Trek, on the other hand, is likely to give any seasoned Trekkie convulsions. I've seen the first few episodes of TOS, and a couple random episodes of TNG. I've read a number of the books, before becoming thoroughly creeped out by the Genesis Wave books (I was 12 or so, what can I say) and stopped reading the books entirely. I read "Federation", which was quite good IMO, but got rid of it for some reason. Ah well. Finally, I saw the J. J. Abrams film. Lens flares for everyone! :D I'll get around to watching TNG sooner or later. It is on my list, but school is higher up.
The first four seasons of Stargate SG-1 were good, but they got kinda lame around season 5, and I stopped watching after season 6. That wasn't in the question though.
I guess the answer is, "I'm not obsessed with any SF franchise right now, and I can pick physics holes in all of them. *evil cackle*"
