All the other conspiracy theories are a conspiracy to cover up the real conspiracy.
Also, "conspiracy" has "piracy" in it, therefore pirates run the world. True facts. -
No. But I don't feel bad about it, no-one else can for sure either. :-)
The prevailing understanding is that gravity is a warping of space-time. Also, it's understood that gravity is limited to the speed of light because it can transmit information, and information is limited to the speed of light.
I shouldn't be answering physics questions, it's 1am and I don't feel like researching anything properly. -
11. Unless Dr. Witten is wrong, in which case it's probably something weirder.

I suppose that I am expected to answer "what is 6 times 9?"
I refuse.
The question of life, the universe and everything is: what will I have for breakfast tomorrow morning? -

This is not very specific, so I will give a general explanation of the word "light" to make sure I've answered your question properly.
Light, as in visible light, is a certain small band in the electromagnetic radiation spectrum. Electromagnetic radiation is a pair of perpendicular magnetic and electric fields travelling in tandem through space. Due to quantum weirdness, it is equally well described as a particle (called a photon) travelling through space. This has little to do with cats, which seems to be what comes to mind when most people here the words "quantum weirdness". Resist such foolish thoughts.
Light, as in the visual sensation of light, is caused by chemical reactions in your retinas caused by electromagnetic radiation in the visible spectrum hitting them. Certain frequencies set off reactions in different cells by different amounts ("rod" cells respond purely to brightness, while "cone" cells respond largely to the chroma). For something that produces images as pretty as it does, this is a rather unromantic description, and if you feel that it has removed joy from your life, you should have skipped it. Don't say I didn't warn you because we all know I didn't already.
Light can also be considered in a metaphorical context, where it is often associated with knowledge, morality, reason, and other positive concepts. Basically it's associated with "the good guys", which is weird because everyone knows that black is the coolest colour.
Light can also be used as an adjective to describe a colour that is paler than usual, or to describe something with comparatively little mass. I say comparatively, because it's quite subjective and what is laughably light to me might very well be quite heavy to you.
I think that about covers it. -
Stargate SG-1. Duh.

Probably the beach, specifically on the North Carolina Outer Banks, as long as I'm not expected to get in the ocean too much. It's great once you're in, and it's great if you just walk along beside it, but getting in and out is a pain and a nightmare and generally no fun. I also don't want it to be hot necessarily, I'm not a fan of smouldering hot weather we sometimes get around here.
Mountains have less pirates, that tends to be a major issue. -
I like both. Poetry is easier for me to do literary analysis on, but I like a lot of prose stuff as well. Then again, some of my favourite stories (Beowulf, the Hunting of the Snark) are poetry.
Both have a place. Picking one is silly. -
Stargate. :D
I used to be a huge Star Wars fan, but eventually I got kinda fed up with it. The prequel stuff is increasingly lame, and the Star Wars "fan group" I was in mostly moved on. I still enjoy the 3 original films a lot though, and "The Empire Strikes Back" is my favourite. I can still quote back reams of EU information and back-history if I need to though. The Thrawn Trilogy was really good, and I've read those multiple times. But that's mostly because Timothy Zahn is awesome. Go read "The Blackcollar". It's about space ninjas.
My experience with Star Trek, on the other hand, is likely to give any seasoned Trekkie convulsions. I've seen the first few episodes of TOS, and a couple random episodes of TNG. I've read a number of the books, before becoming thoroughly creeped out by the Genesis Wave books (I was 12 or so, what can I say) and stopped reading the books entirely. I read "Federation", which was quite good IMO, but got rid of it for some reason. Ah well. Finally, I saw the J. J. Abrams film. Lens flares for everyone! :D I'll get around to watching TNG sooner or later. It is on my list, but school is higher up.
The first four seasons of Stargate SG-1 were good, but they got kinda lame around season 5, and I stopped watching after season 6. That wasn't in the question though.
I guess the answer is, "I'm not obsessed with any SF franchise right now, and I can pick physics holes in all of them. *evil cackle*" -
Squids. Preferable a large one than can eat me in a couple bites. Chihuahuas would pinch more, I think.

Last.fm tells me that it's Alternative Rock. I like Ska a lot though. I guess it's one of those two. I also like Classical and Jazz.
Possibly worth noting that one of my tabs is open to Daft Punk's "Digital Love", which I did, in fact, know about and listen to before the new Tron came out (for you elitists). I need to see that film at some point. -

A MAD SCIENTIST WITH AN AWESOME SPACESHIP.
Actually, I still want to be a mad scientist with an awesome spaceship. However, I haven't found any colleges offering degrees in mad science, so I'm going with engineering instead. -
Well, if I get up early (like, 6am) and start work, I feel incredibly productive by around 3 in the afternoon, and then look at the clock and realize that it's only 11am and freak out.
On the other hand, I tend to stay up pretty late and have produced some of my best/most incomprehensible work at 2am.
What I really hate is 2-4pm, when I feel drowsy and generally useless.
