I like to stay up all night and sleep all day. Unfortunately, I have a day job that forced me into compliance with the rest of the corporate world. :/

The features I find most attractive in a man are intelligence, sense of humor, open-mindedness, creativity, and a friendly nature. I love music of many genres, and enjoy people who share a similar craving for discovering new music. I also look for someone who has the ability to challenge me on various levels. I tend to stray from the mainstream in all areas of interest, so - true to form - with men, I tend to do the same. The men from relationships past, have all had very unique qualities that I found attractive. Unfortunately, they also had qualities that I ultimately superseded the positive. Today, I consider myself lucky to be in a relationship with someone who exhibits the positive character traits I mentioned before; he has managed to raise the bar for future candidates - that is, in the event, he and I do not live happily ever after.

I do not believe that I have a predestined set of events scheduled to befall upon me no matter what choices I make. What then would be the point of living and learning? There comes a great lack of responsibility with the belief in fate. I do - however- believe in meaningful coincidences.

My fondest childhood memories are of the times my grandmother and I spent together. I was with her every day for most of my early childhood, and I often daydream of those days. When I talk with her on the phone, we reminisce of those times, and she reminds me that those were the best days of her life. I never grow tired of hearing that.

I remember riding in the car with her, pretending to drive with my own set of car keys that she had given me. She used to let me wear the ring she wore on her little finger. I loved how it glistened in the sun as I moved my hands back and forth, pretending to steer the car. We would go to thrift shops, garage sales, antique stores, etc. All the while, she would give me words to spell, as she wanted me to grow up to be as smart as I could be. "One day," she said, "you'll grow up to be smarter than me." Quite frankly, I don't know if that is even possible - she does her crossword puzzles with a pen.

I often recall bedtime as well; she would tuck me in tightly and kiss me on the forehead. Just as she began to walk toward the door - like clockwork - I would ask for chocolate milk. She always knew it was coming, and every night she obliged. When she came back, I would be hiding under the covers. Again, she knew I would do this, but it never stopped her from playing along. She would call out, "Where did my baby go?" Unable to control my excitement, I would giggle quietly. Eventually, she would pretend to believe I had jumped out the window and ran away; at which point, I would jump out from under the covers. Whether she was faking or not, her happiness to have found me always made me feel so special.

She has taught me the meaning of unconditional love, for which I am eternally grateful - well for that, and chocolate milk, of course.

I believe I am a pretty equal communicator. I maintain awareness of my audience when doing the talking, and also my speakers when doing the listening.
