1 vs 1 vs 4 (if you're Muslim)? -
Lol I'm still struggling through Kamisama no Karte, though that's classified as a novel rather a light novel. Also reading Usotsuki Mi-kun to Kowareta Maa-chan but on the whole, I prefer manga....I'm just not that fond of reading Japanese text from top to bottom instead of left to right haha

...do please go and brush up on your knowledge of Asian culture + the concept of family + shame, dear ignoramus.

Assuming you are referring to mainstream chart music:
Jpop has its own cheesy, cutesy identity which few people outside of Japan fathom; Kpop copies American pop trends albeit about 5 years too late. Both are as bad as each other & to be honest, I can't see how either side can claim to be superior when they're just peddling disposable trash music @_@
You'll need to scratch deeper beneath the surface to find the good stuff as always - people say that Japanese music is much more diverse than Korean music could ever be, but I'm finding that statement less and less true by the day. Sure, K-indie is maybe a little bit too mellow for its own good at times but it has a lot more heart. And rarely overdoes it on the Engrish like all those lame-ass emo-Jrock bands. -
