I got interested in photography a few years ago, back then I had a very simple digital camera, then I switched to a Bridge camera and finally to a DSLR so actually I had time to learn by myself. I guess it depends on what you want to photography, but as I'm mainly into fashion and portraits, asking friends around me to model for me was a good practice.

I learnt everything by myself^^

I heard french was the toughest language to learn, but as I was born in France I can't really tell, as I learnt it naturally.
Plus, I'm on the side of the people who still know how to write (because, most of the teens would write "lik dat lols" if you know what I mean, and a lot of people from every ages still frequently make horrible spelling mistakes, like when it comes to conjugation and tenses..). So that's to say, even if the "real" French can't get it right, I don't know..!
From all the foreigners I have met, I think I've been really impressed by one person only, like, she was pretty fluent and has been studying the language for only a few years.

I don't know if you know about Anastasia Siantar, maybe you could ask her the same question, she's been in France for two months I guess and she's learning the language ;)

I guess there's a lot, but actually in Paris most of the thrift stores arent real "thrift stores", I mean the prices, it's generally more expensive than in regular shops most of the time.. Otherwise I'm not from Paris so I can't tell about the best places, sorry!
