a little ego in life is sometimes necessary...but of course, like so many other things in life, too much of somethings are just bad for u.....reflect back on yourself on why do u need the ego & is there any way that ur ego can cause problems to urself or others....n have a think about what if others have the same ego....most importantly how God view ur ego....if u know what is more important in life somehow the ego can just die away...always always always do reflection of urself each and everyday.....if the ego cause problems with ur relationship with God, please have no hesitation to just throw ur ego away down the drain because its just not worth it...

i usually speed-read any reading materials....but sometimes i will read them a few times...i guess thats how i remember quite well....but of course Allah is the one who gave me such ability for He is the Most Powerful....

i would just pray hard to God and ask for strength.
though sometime what comes in our way is just challenges,
im thankful because i know that is how God wants to teach me to be stronger. God has the ultimate power. Believe in Him and God's will, u will get what u want. God wont give us obstacles we cant handle. Honestly, that is how i overcome my problems & become strong. Hope that answers your question -
for me, i think of Allah. remind yourself of your true intentions to study. it shouldn't be because of anyone else or even for the sake for a better future with good job & a well-off life. it should be only because of Allah & for the sake of seeking His pleasure. with that in mind, i would think that, if i can't even study such little knowledge (though it is a lot enough for us), how can we do dakwah (which is compulsory for us) and requires lots more knowledge?
but of coz u can't study 24/7...coz i think if we do that, thats how we get bored & unmotivated easily. so take break in between. read some words of Allah or our Prophet to feed our soul. and insyaAllah, the motivation will be self-cultivated... -

plenty but the most would be the day that Allah opened my heart to really understand ISLAM which i have practice for almost 20 years of my life....insyaAllah i hope i would slowly turn to be a better muslim who would do everything only to seek Allah's pleasure...
