my preferences on this has changed. I used to sharpen a lot..maybe over sharpen. My preference now is not to worry about it or even soften the image a little in post rather than sharpen. But to answer the quesetions, I've use the high pass method to sharpen..then mask out areas I didn't want sharpened.

I have listed some stuff in the past..but not a complete list. I would say I use my sb800 and a shoot thru umbrella as I have it with me the most

depends if that person is a model and if the moles or scars are a unique feature of that person. I always clean up pimples. The other stuff it depends. I've never had to fix teeth but my guess is that if they had bad teeth i would pic and image that doesnt show them.

i strap the PW on the top of the ray ring and use a PC sync cord that attaches to the camera

That is a big questions. All my primes are fairly inexpensive and they all perform well on the d800.

When I see something that is interesting I always want to photograph it. Since I am not a full time photographer I guess I do no have those days.

I use a hand strap i got on ebay. I bought the same one for my d800. Sigma 14mm is a good choice..great price. I use PW..never touch CLS.
