I've never really thought about it much. I'm still at the age where owning a home is a bit of a distant dream, but I thought about it, and this is what I came up with.

First, I would like for my house to be on a good several acres, with most of those acres being forest-y, and full of trees, perhaps with a brook or stream running through it. I'd want a good bit of distance between myself and my neighbors, but within driving distance of a medium sized town.

Walls and color schemes would focus around either bold solids, or Victorian wallpaper, depending on whether the house itself is done in bold and modern architecture, or whether it's a refurbished Victorian (since I cannot decide between the two). Most of the description is based off a more modern style of architecture, and would probably change for a Victorian.

As for the house itself, I want it to be two stories with a sizable attic, as well as a sizable basement. I'm thinking three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms (with one master bedroom/bathroom). The master bathroom would have a large jacuzzi tub, as well as a large glass-enclosed shower, and a sit-down vanity with excellent lighting for me to do makeup at. the master bedroom would have a walk in closet, with mirrors and plenty of shoe storage space at arm's length (meaning, not on the floor).

The kitchen would be on the second floor, and open, with an island in the center, and a dining table off the kitchen area. There would be two entertainment rooms, one on the first floor, one on the second floor, with the one on the top floor primarily dedicated to console gaming. There would be a study/office room, and then perhaps a room for extra storage. My dream family includes so very many animals, so I'd probably have an "animal room", for reptiles and fish, but keep dog and/or cat toys and beds in the main house area, because it's better not to tempt them to find ways into the tanks. ;)

For the exterior, I would love a wraparound porch, and would love to have an indoor, heated pool in my dream home, glass enclosed in a way so that it looks like a greenhouse, with a shower off to the side of the pool area.

So yeah, my dream home is pretty damn expensive. But that's why it's a dream, I guess. It's mostly ideas compiled from family members and friends whose homes I covet.

I maintain my fabulousness through a rigorous routine of keeping up with fabulous people on the internet (fatties and non fatties alike), as well as reminding pretty much everyone I meet that I'm fabulous, and there's nothing they can do to take that away from me.

Hah! I wouldn't really consider myself all that amazing at it. There are so many people out there who are better than me, and wear it more often than me (I'm mostly too lazy to do makeup in the mornings, as I sleep in until the last possible minute). As for how I learned it, I guess I just observed? I tend to pick up stuff fairly quickly (except for painting and sketching, can't do those for crap), and picked up crochet, cross stitching, and dancing all with similar celerity.

As for buying it, it can get expensive, but I don't buy it nearly as often as a some people (and they lovingly know who they are. ;)). When I do, I try to buy it on sale (for full sizes), but most commonly, I buy samples, which keeps my costs relatively low. And keeping my costs low is pretty important for me, since I was raised to pinch pennies, and that's stuck with me.

I would probably go to South Korea, because there's something about tat country that fascinates me, from a cultural point of view. I've never had any interest in tropical locations (since I despise being overly warm) as beautiful as they may be. I'm more interested in cultural aspects of travel destinations.

Though if I'm being fully honest, I don't like to travel. It causes me a great deal of anxiety, and though I generally enjoy myself, I sometimes wonder if it's worth it.

My former answer to this would have been cats, but I realize that's because they are what I am most familiar with. We never had dogs growing up, only cats, so I've never experienced living with a dog. I do love playing the other peoples' dogs, so I'm sure I would like them.

      Mexico, by far.

I'm sure many would say that we "didn't go to the right place", but I feel like in the place we went to, we got a better feel for what Mexico is really like, as opposed to resort feel that most people experience in Mexico. And it was depressing, and frightening at times, and I really just never want to go back to Mexico, at this point in my life.
