Surprise me with a question

I'll start with hopes. My greatest hope is shooting for the moon and missing, hitting a star*. I aspire to do many things, most prominently starting a company that makes a difference in the world and (even more optimistically) pushes the human race forward. This comes from my dream to have my name known around the world for something I did.
My greatest fear isn't not achieving my dream, it's not having tried. That would be a huge regret that would be hard to live with for the rest of my life. I believe there is only a certain age bracket to do this kinda thing, not because of the actual age or skill level but the amount of responsibilities (I do want to settle down and have a family before my hair grays). So I want to try as hard as I can to fulfill my hope.
I also fear building myself up for a role I can't fulfill and not being able to walk-the-walk.
*After re-reading this, I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE for how corny that was >.< -
Very interesting question. Had to think a little bit on this but its funnily similar to the perfect girl question.
I always envisioned a tech geek. You know, the whole glasses-wearing, iPhone-tooting, computer-hacking, programming whiz like this guy http://bit.ly/b1bJYe. Haha just kidding but for some reason I have always been attracted (no homo) to tech geeks. They're smart, independent, and funny in their own right. Especially after coming to Silicon Valley, I just love the tech culture and the people in it. It's just easier to communicate one language when we both read the same news and understand the little tech references and stuff.
Passion again is key. Just like girls, there are many guys with all the smarts and terabytes of talent but no passion along with it and they just appear boring to me. There are still guys that are attracted to money and girls and living the "frat life" as long as they can which is great, I love living in the present too, but they're not someone I would call the perfect bro. Having something they are passionate about is always invigorating and we can both keep each other motivated through this.
We don't have to be entirely alike though, I actually prefer a perfect compliment, someone that can fill in the gaps of my personality and same to him. Even someone smarter and geekier than me. I love the idea of us constantly helping each other and pushing each other to be the best that we can be. This goes far beyond a superficial friendship or a "bromance" and really into the finer levels of friendship. All the elements would be there: trust, love, and a level of comfortableness around each other.
This goes with the perfect girl question too; respectful and a good listener. I tend to jump into random deep conversations and arguments and one would have to be prepared for that. I take that back, not only prepared but also willing to jump in too and contribute until it's lively at 3am for no reason even though there are midterms the next morning. We can talk about the most random philosophical things and hate each other's viewpoints but in the end are still buds and willing to go for a sandwich :)
I had a perfect bro back home and I wish I could have brought him with me. Besides that, still searching... -
I recently read an interesting quote.
"Plato believed that our souls were once split in half and the quest for finding the right person with whom to spend one’s life was that of (literally) finding “your other half.”"
Whether the idea of a soul mate is predetermined or one becomes a soulmate by choosing, I don't care, it's the hopeless romantic in me that keeps me searching for the one. -
I know that this was just for me to see. But I also wanted you to see that this made me smile :)

Going into space. There's just something out of this would about that.

It's like Disney World where magic happens if you know where to look.

Most DEFINITELY. Every time I put on my fingerless gloves I feel like Ash Ketchum. I'm starting with a Charmander!!!

Thank you very much :) Maybe I watch too many dramas haha

I don't believe in the "perfect girl" but rather the perfect "imperfect girl" that can deal with me for a long time :)
I always envisioned someone cute. And I don't mean cute in just the physical sense but in everything. Cute mannerisms, cute sense of humor, and cute smile (ok that was physical but I just LOVE a cute smile). She can be clutsy, awkward, or a hopeless romantic but I find all those qualities very cute in a girl. (Also a cute voice when she says my name is the icing on the cake!)
Intelligent but also passionate. This is key because a huge-turn off for me is someone that just lives as they're told to. There are many intelligent people on this world but they have no passion for what they do. Either it was parental pressure or it was the only thing they were good at, some people have never found that passion in their lives and I find I can never stay long with them. A huge attraction is talking with a girl and finding that magical sparkle in their eye.
Outgoing but also has a shy side. I really love this in a girl because one day we can go hiking on a mountain and the next we can be sitting by a fireplace drinking hot chocolate. I want to be able to fun crazy things with her but also just cuddle and talk about anything in the world into the morning. She needs to be open-minded to try new things because no one knows where life will go and living all that life has to offer involves going beyond one's comfort zone.
Respectful and a good listener. A lot of the time I've been told I would make a good boyfriend but it hasn't been seen yet. I like to do all those cute little things like leave little presents just because and have random phone calls just because I miss you. I love surprising people and remembering what your favorite chocolate or song is. And in return I really just want a nice honest thank you to know my efforts weren't for naught. Someone that is easy to talk to that is always there to lend an ear when I start talking about another crazy idea.
Now I'm curious... who asked this question ;)
[Random] Spent about 40 min on this question.... hope you don't think I'm too picky >.< (I'm really not! This was just a really thought out answer xD) -
I guess this is just another form of procrastination >.< It's quite flattering actually, I'm surprised I get this many questions! You should create one yourself

I take nerd in the best sense of the word. Paul Graham would agree http://www.paulgraham.com/nerds.html
Yes I was a straight A student but not because I studied endlessly in high school. I saw Stanford as the golden ticket to Silicon Valley and my entrepreneurial dreams so I played the "game" of college admissions. I got all those nice stats they like to see but in addition I put a lot of energy into my own projects and internships that ultimately made me stand out as an interesting person. And it's that interesting person part that really counts, whether I got into Stanford or not, because gaining experience and living life to the fullest gives you awesome stories to tell in an interview or just to people. -
yeeeeeeah bday boii. call me

Ah these are always those hard interview type questions. In a perfect world at age 29 I see myself having founded a successful company (or two) and having established myself well within the tech entrepreneurship community in Silicon Valley. I would continue on as CEO and continue daily operations hopefully to an IPO one day. I would know many famous bloggers and entrepreneurs on a first name basis and be able to travel to Europe or Asia and know people to show me around. As I enter my 4th decade alive, I want to settle down with a lovely young woman whose name I have no clue yet.
But the world is hardly perfect so realistically I see myself having started several companies/projects with at least one success. I hope to have expanded my network with the rest of the tech entrepreneur community. Without many successes and my growing age, I would try to become a VC and help mentor other entrepreneurs. As I enter my 4th decade alive, I want to settle down with a lovely young woman whose name I have no clue yet.
No matter what happens though, I leave no regrets for trying all I can do.
Oh and I see myself having mastered Chinese and attended TED :)
[Random Stuff] I see myself still playing tennis, eating copious amounts of awesome food, hanging out with some old Stanford friends, trying something new everyday, and still oversleeping through everything. -
I know whatever I write here isn't gonna be up to par with what people expect so I'm just gonna go with... my hopes, my dreams, and my love life are all a huge joke.
A huge joke if I don't do anything about em.
Oooooh see what I did there :) http://www.instantrimshot.com/ -
