Prior to receiving publication money, I kept my budget to $100/month.

If I earned a little more money from babysitting or other side jobs, I'd use half of that money for my crafting supplies and put the other half into the family pot.

Here are some money saving tips:
      1. Only buy something if you can use it more than a few ways. Don't buy something just to use it once!
      2. Always use a coupon if you're shopping at a chain store and wait for the sales.
      3. Look on Ebay, Etsy, Craigslist, Garage Sales, Splitcoaststampers, EVERYWHERE to purchase 2nd hand. I've found so many good deals out there on 2nd hand big ticket items.
      4. Try out for some design teams! If you serve on a design team that you love, you'll receive free products and other items at a discount!
      5. Join Wish-RAK on Splitcoaststampers to make "wishes" for stamped images that are free and stamped by other stampers! This is especially good if you love to color images.
      6. Have a small yard sale to get rid of items you're not using or put those items up for sale on the sites I mentioned above!
      7. Don't subscribe to kits unless you know you're going to use it every month.

I know a gal that has committed herself to making 200 cards before she buys something new. I think that's an AWESOME idea!

My stamping budget varies month to month now because I have all the basics. I think it's important to buy a good supply of inks, cardstock, and basic embellishments and then build on that.

I hope this helps you at least a little because I know how tough it is! It's SOOOO tough to stick to a budget, especially when it seems that everyone around you is buying all the new stuff.

I don't typically use mod podge on my cards unless I'm using it to stiffen fabric. I love applying 3 layers onto a fabric swatch, allowing it to dry, and then cutting it using a Spellbinders Nestabilities die in my cuttlebug. And, Mod podge glitter is a fun way to add lots of sparkle to your projects. If you go to modpodgerocks.com you'll find all sorts of ideas on how to use Mod Podge and it's updated daily!

I'm an equal opportunity cardstock user! If I need bulk packs I go to scrapbook.com to buy my Bazzill. I also buy from Close To My Heart consultants, but their cardstock is all white core. So, if you're planning on distressing, that's your best bet!

I have one Nestabilities Tutorial posted on my blog and DO plan on doing more! I recently purchased a used Big Shot so I'm playing around with the perfect "sandwich". What kinds of techniques are you looking for in a Nestabilities video? Anything specific? Just the basics?

      Thanks for your compliments!

I picked up my sewing machine from a garage sale listing! It is a used Simplicity. I highly recommend that if you're only going to be using it on paper crafting projects, that you purchase a used machine. You can look on craigslist or even your local classifieds.

My desk is made up of 8 icubes (from overstock.com) and a melamine desktop. I positioned the cubes so that some are facing in toward the center and some are facing toward me to the front. I got a great deal on them and they are really easy to put together.

I hope this helps and thank you for watching my video :)

I'm glad to have helped girly!

I use all sorts of things when I mask. Most of the time, I use eclipse tape, which are like rolls of sticky notes with just the sticky. If I'm lazy, I just grab my sticky notes. If I need a temporary adhesive, glue arts is the best! You rub it right off. Just make sure you don't flick them onto your carpet or tile. Because you'll end up with gooey globs all over and they're hard to clean! HTH!

ooooh, there a lot of different things you can use!

Use your cardboard boxes (the thick ones) cut up, use leftover rubber from trimming those rubber stamps, or even use fun foam (which is cheap)!

I wish everyone could meet Lola. Lola is my mom she is a little ball of unfailing renewable energy. I would make a fortune if I could bottle it and sell it!

My Dad is extremely driven. So, growing up I had a super-hyper mom (which I thought was the norm) and a very goal-oriented dad.

I guess I combined their talents to make it Tiffy like!

I survived!!!! Thanks for asking! I'm an army brat, so I'm used to moving a lot. My FL boy hubby, on the other hand, is NOT! LOL! He's in xbox 360 rehab!

To be completely honest, I'm one cliche after the other. I love to cook, love to clean, crave organization, craft, make handmade Christmas presents, the whole nine yards. I'd like to think that I can even make my own "molds"!

I'm inspired by product. I love patterned paper, primas, inks, markers, ribbon, fabric, etc. You'll often see an eclectic use of product on my creations!

I always notice someone's talking style immediately! Is this person shy, do they like to talk, do they want me to take the lead...etc.
