At the cinema. They're designed to be seen on the big screen, and you have a more immersive experience if you see them there (providing people aren't talking or using their mobile phones during the show)

It's normally on silent but there was a time I left the ringtone on, and it happened to be the Addams Family theme tune...and it went off in the middle of a packed lecture hall. Unfortunately there could be no doubt as to whose phone it was.
