Yeah, filed a lot of patents, years ago and are still filing them. Won't sue anyone but need to have them for defense in case a patent troll comes after us.

Lots of very smart ones, but Matt Gattis is Good Will Hunting like.

I didn't really code Hunch - my much smarter partners did. I did teach myself programming as a kid - doing mostly c/c++ and assembly to try to make games.

I'm worried it could lead to a time travel paradox.

Hunch is not for sale. The founders have already sold companies before and have no desire to sell Hunch. We want to build it into a large company.

The API is available to anyone. We've thought about ways to give the scientific community additional anonymized data dumps but haven't (yet) because it seems like every data set that has been anonymized has also been de-anonymized.

That would be this question http://hunch.com/default/about/view-question/966/ about whether someone lives in the city, suburbs, or a rural area. It has been asked as the first Teach Hunch About You question for longer than any other question on Hunch (although it wasn't always in the #1 spot).
About 350,000 Hunch users have answered that question, with the breakdown as follows:
City: 40%
Suburbs: 44%
Rural: 16% -
