Antares.. I got it in a raffle at a horse show, it's been a HUGE blessing because it's a wonderful helmet I would have never been able to afford.

I think some of the biggest stereotypes are that: We're all snobby and rich, undeserving, and our horse does all the work.
They're all false, there are many of us who work ourselves to the bone for this, and money has nothing to do with it, otherwise we'd be farthur along. But also, there are those who do use their wealth just because they can. My biggest peeve is when people pay grooms to tack up their horses for them every time. My last barn was a elite show barn where many of the riders had forgotten how to tack up, it had been so long since they tacked up their own horse.
And as for the horse doing all the work.. PLEASE. There's great horses out there that look perfect in the show ring, but that doesn't show the hours of pain at home, even if the horse is nearly perfect, it takes us riders a LONG time to gain our skill. A TON of work. Just because we make it look easy doesn't mean it is (:

I do both hunters and equitation but I don't place well in hunters because my horse isn't straight enough or hunterish. But I'd have to say.. Eventing is REALLY hard to place in. And not only that, but you have to find a horse that is well rounded and can do ALL three amazingly.. hard to find "/ But it looks like SO much fun to me, ESPECIALLY the cross country. Some day I'd like to try a cross country course, but I don't really plan to be an eventer, as much as I'd love to. And as for dressage.. I think we hunters don't get involved in it because we start with jumping. And not that dressage is boring in ANY WAY, but after you're used to jumping a course, watching dressage isn't as intresting to us. Again, not to say that it's not amazing, it's just not what we have been taught to do, not to mention that we get an amazing rush watching our poles go higher.
But both dressage and eventing are incredible, just as hunters, jumpers, and equitation are all amazing as well. All equestrian disclipines take an enormous amount of effort, patience, failure, work, sucess, and determination. We just all seperate into what we want and then usually once we start jumping we stick (:

I'm not sure! hahah. When I want sweet tea, I usually just buy it from the grocery store, but I guess if you wanted to MAKE it from scratch, you'd have to boil lots of water and put in tons of tea bags and then add sugar. But there's sweet tea mixes at the grocery store that you can buy and add the right amount of water and that'd be alot easier (:

Yes I am, that was a total accident! Only problem is I couldn't re-render it because each texture takes 1 hour + to render on sony vegas "/ So I left it there in hopes that people could just cut it out (: SORRY about that!

I definitely agree. And I absolutely HATE it, that those who deserve nothing get everything those who work so hard for can't even dream of. I can't look at those people, to know that it literally took a snap of their fingers to place them where I can only imagine being in my wildest dreams.
But you know, I'm glad to be an underdog too. Because this way, I will NEVER be like THEM. A horse to me will ALWAYS be a priviledge to ride, whether it be a backyard pony or a half a million dollar grand prix horse. I will ALWAYS be appreciative, and so will you. We will never throw away a horse because it simply doesn't "work" right, because it doesn't have right confromation, because it can't jump how high we'd wish it to. We'll always make something to it's fullest, and be happy with that.
OH. And what else irks me? The fact that the AMAZING riders, the ones that don't deserve what they have and yet they have it anyways, they don't even STICK in this sport. While I can NEVER imagine myself doing ANYTHING else but riding, training, something involving a horse job, they throw their whole riding career out the window.
