I'm not arguing that verse again. But can I make a few recommendations for you? You know… "out of love," since that's such a favorite term for Christians?
Read 1 John 4:20. But you "hate people like me." Thus, you hate, so you do not love God. (Oh man, see how it feels to have things taken out of context?)
I apparently have offended you somehow. So, please read Colossians 3:13, as well… and forgive me. Stop asking me relentless questions about my beliefs, please, because it's getting old. Your perseverance is to be admired, but it's a lost cause. -

Okay, you know, that's your opinion but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you are absolutely and completely wrong. No, I don't believe in God, but I'm pretty damn positive that if I'm wrong and God does exist, he doesn't hate me. The whole basis of Christianity is love. God is love and love is real. Love and God can't exist (according to my Christian friends) without the other; their existence depends on coexistence. So, for you to say that is absolutely ludicrous.
Also, I think that that verse was aimed towards marriage as opposed to friendship. I mean, how are you supposed to spread the love of God to a world that needs it if everyone you surround yourself with is already a believer? How is that furthering the Kingdom of God? Just don't let us bad nonbelievers sway your opinion and I think you're good.
PLUS, the Bible says that Jesus hung out with tax collectors, prostitutes, and general "sinners," and you're supposed to be more like Christ, right? So, please. Focus on that.
Lastly, I would like to point out that Romans 5:6-8 says, "For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die, yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commandeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." CHECK THE LAST PART OF THAT OUT. Your God died for you while you were still a sinner… so I guess he hates you too?
