Yes, I have to admit that my feet hurt when I wear heels. However, I think a lot of it is about finding the right pair of shoes. I have some flats that hurt my feet more than even the highest of heels! :( that being said, I typically bring a pair of flats with me (safely stowed in a dust bag) when I go out for long periods of time for when I need to walk.

Haha, no! Though I'm flattered that you would think that! ;)

It is rather unfortunate that as the city has grown, there seems to be an increasing number of negative remarks towards Asians (or perhaps I'm just getting older and becoming more exposed to these situations!). While I've never had it happen to me personally, many of my loved ones have been on the receiving end of such comments. I think the most important thing is to not retaliate and to realize that individual instances of racism does not speak for the general population. Like you said, this city is friendly the vast majority of the time; the worst thing that could happen would be to grow a negative attitude towards others in return!

That's sweet and I'm so happy to hear that! I think the type of skirt you choose would be quite dependent on your body type, but I think a good and safe place to start would be a black a-line mini (see here: http://bit.ly/ADdamP). It goes with essentially everything and I'm sure you could wear it all the time and through the seasons. Anything in a fun colour or print would be great to add to your wardrobe. I love J.Crew's pencil skirts (check out this cute one: http://bit.ly/zDxvXt) and Zara has many options at reasonable prices. Also, don't forget to look into your wardrobe to see if you already have any dresses that can be "transformed" by throwing something on top and wearing it as a "skirt"!

I've been really into ostrich embossed leather (not the real stuff- only because I would never be able to afford it!) for a few years now and am on the hunt for some good options. I don't have any specifics at the moment, but definitely something more structured and small-medium size. In a fantasy world? A vintage Celine box bag (with the horse carriage). So beautiful!

I seem to have been quite blessed with nice (or perhaps some are just non vocal) readers and have never received a negative comment on my blog. While I am very appreciative of that, I can only imagine how hurtful and unnecessary those words can be! I know it may sound cliche and be easier said that done, but I would really just try to remember that the person who is saying these things is likely in a very dark and negative place themselves. It's also almost guaranteed that they are more threatened by some aspect of you than anything else!

Hi! My method for keeping the oatmeal out of the drain is a pretty messy one: I scrub my face with the oatmeal and then try to collect as much as I can into my hand. Since the toilet is right next to the bathtub for me, I just dump it into the toilet, and let the rest go into my drain. I've been washing my face with oatmeal for well over half a year now, and while I can't speak for the drains in other homes, mine has not shown any signs of clogging. If you'd prefer, you could also just do it over the sink and pick up the pieces as they fall into it!

Yes, I actually do mean the kind with feet. I wear two pairs of those and then an extra layer of warm socks if needed! Sorry for the confusion!

Hi Agnes! Thanks for your suggestion; I appreciate it! I haven't done a post like that before and yes, I can definitely do one in the near future. Look out for it soon!

I've gotten quite a few questions about those gloves and I always wish I could give a better answer, but I bought them at a market in Helsinki last summer. My hands are not that small (size 6-7 for gloves) but I would just suggest checking out a department store as you'll probably have the best selection. One thing I would recommend though is a cashmere or wool lining- spend a bit of extra money and skip the polyester; it will keep your hands much warmer!

I love to double up my tights to keep warm in the winter! I usually wear a thinner, but still opaque, pair underneath as I find they hold their shape better. I like the ones that Joe Fresh makes. Then, on top I layer a warmer pair - I have a few from Hue (I get them at The Bay when they're on sale, which is often). Doubled up, I find that tights keep me warmer than most pants do!

Layer! If you have any thin, collared shirts, those are great to wear under sweaters or cardigans for a preppy, clean look. Wearing tights (double if need be) under shorts, skirts and dresses is another way to transition your outfits into colder weather. I wear many of my pieces year round- it's all about getting a few more key pieces to work into your wardrobe to increase versatility!

I'd say that the quality of their products compares to pieces from ASOS (their house brand) and H&M. It's fast fashion, no question about it, but I think the price point is right to try out a few trendy, fun pieces! :)

I frequent a few on Main St (Front & Co. is still my favourite) and West Broadway (near MacDonald) has a few gems too (Turnabout, Immersion Clothing)!

I do sometimes make day trips to Washington! We usually don't go as far as Seattle unless we're staying overnight, though. Often we stop at Seattle Premium Outlets (I like to look at J.Crew, BCBG, Elie Tahari & Kate Spade!) and will on occasion go to Alderwood Mall and Nordstrom Rack for a peek. :)

Generally on sale or at a consignment shop, but many of my higher end items are gifts from loved ones.

I actually don't wear heels nearly everyday, it's probably more about 1/2 the time. When I have to do a lot of walking or be on my feet, I stick to flats or something with a chunky heel. It's just that my documented outfits are more often during the days when I am wearing heels, because I do prefer the look of them to flat shoes!

I asked him to answer this one, and he said: "I just close my eyes and grab whatever is in my closet and put it on". I think he was trying to be modest in saying that he has naturally great style and has an eye for coordinating colours and patterns ;) I honestly wouldn't know exactly how to define his style. I don't think he's quite metrosexual, but he definitely has a greater knack for looking well-put together than most guys do!
