My dad's and his some of siblings had slowly moved to Chicago from Mexico when they were in their 20s. Then they formed families and decided to move down here, closer to the border and where my grandma was in Mexico after my grandpa died. my mom was already in chicago, having moved their from puerto rico was she was five and they met there.

who is to say what is a skill & what is attractive/unattractive? are we talking about what society deems attractive? are we talking about survival skills, ppl skills, street smarts. And how do you rate social power, and who would want social power anyway. And how can we measure the "worth" of someone based on their skills & attractiveness. Why do we have to play this woman vs woman game. I can't help but answer these questions with questions!

mm, had to think about this. I would want to know, to be able to tell the kids things I won't be able to tell them, leave them letters and recordings for when they get older, convey to them what my absence means and does not mean.

ah the trick is bribery my friend. For example, I need to be on the phone for 20 minutes, if ya'll don't make any noise you can watch tv (they usually aren't allowed) or-if you let me write this essay I need to write, I'll make ya'll a cake/pizza/give you dinner (insert evil laugh). In cars, if we are going somewhere-the usual, I will turn this car around and we will go no where works. Also, before getting off at stores & shopping they have to recite back to me a few simple rules: no asking for anything, no asking for toys, no running, no whining-or we'll come right out without food/supplies/and so forth.

what kind of fucking stupid question is that? Here's a woman who's 33, with two kids, divorced, living in sin for agazillion years, I mean, you tell me (in case you didn't catch that, I was talking about myself there). And besides what the fuck does it matter?
