Episode 2 is already divided into two parts actually. Unfortunately, my perfectionism and obsessive-compulsive tendencies as an artist prevent me from releasing part 1 while having part 2 dangle in limbo. It's funny to think about it too, because I finished part 1 back in late 2007. I could've released it ages ago, but the completion of part 2 still prevents it. Part 1 by itself is just not enough. When people see the entire episode... both parts... then I can only hope that they too appreciate my potentially frustrating decision to hold back for so long.

The fact that folks are still asking about Gun is very inspiring to me, and despite the fact that I'm doing so many other things, believe me when i say it's always in the back of my mind. Thanks!

Not necessarily. what it means is that I simply won't have as much time to devote to working on it. I made some progress on it this summer, and yes, there's still work to be done.

I'm keeping ahead of my coursework as much as possible, and I'm already off to a head start. Not only for the purposes of high scholastic achievement (which of course is non-negotiable for me), but also in order to allow time for my creative pursuits (similarly non-negotiable).

I'm actually glad that there are still people who care enough to wonder about the progress of the unbelievably delayed second episode, even now. Thanks for asking. :)

Believe it or not, it isn't. I've already written seven episodes extensively, and I have enough unscripted material for about 3-7 additional episodes. Altogether, "Gun" would be about 10-14 episodes long when fully completed.

I originally conceived of it as a miniseries, but I imagined only producing about 8 episodes at most. In fact, episodes 1 and 2 were originally going to be the first episode, since conception back in 2003, but I found that more and more I wanted to elaborate and expand the storyline and the storytelling, making the episode content much richer and more substantial. I think it was for the best, and I hope that others agree (whenever I finish). There's some pretty fucked up things that happen, and some of my more thoughtful writing in the episodes that follow ep. 2, so I really hope I get to bring that stuff to life for people in the very near future.

      Thanks for asking :)

lol. nice one... I'd say Megan Fox with herpes, no kissing and triple-bag it. Then afterwards call Mel and tell him it was his wife that I banged, so he can launch into another youtube-worthy rant.

Not necessarily. I'm doing the artwork, sound effects, soundtracking, and animation alone. Basically the essentials of production. However, I do have the help of several talented voice actors who contributed to the second episode, as well as a musician who composed a few pieces to fit some of my scenes. Without them, the episode wouldn't be as special as it is, and wouldn't ever truly reach completion.

But yes, the art + animation + production aspects are unequivocally the most challenging and time-consuming. Frankly, I don't have the time to really network and try to recruit others to work on this part. I've considered reaching out to someone to work on backgrounds for me, but I definitely don't have the means to compensate that person for his/her work and I'd feel guilty asking them to do such extensive work for free.

Another reason - in truth, I'm a control freak when it comes to my art. This project is like my baby, it's very special to me, and letting others in on it requires tremendous trust and openness on my part. I'm happy with the decisions I've made so far on that front, so it seems to be a good thing to let your guard down and accept help from others if it means executing your creative vision that much more precisely and in a timely fashion (still working on that part, ha).

I completed another scene last week and was on my way to finishing up another one, but then life happened. Still working on it. The workload is extraordinary, but believe it or not, I'm still pushing through it.

if this is Ramon, the answer is "fuck you all!"

for anyone else -- I am working VERY hard to push it through to completion, believe me. I know I've been saying that for about 2 years now, but if I could actually sit down and explain to everyone out there unfathomable amount of work it takes for one man to produce a 25 minute animated flash cartoon, then you'd not only sympathize, you'd probably think I'm crazy for even having started this in the first place.

Put it this way -- it can take a team of 300 individuals about 1 year to produce an animated work approximately 100 minutes in length, and that's working around the clock. Imagine me... JUST me (not accounting for my voice actors and my musician), working to create something roughly 1/4 that size. Now you see why I've been working almost 4 years on the 2nd episode.

      But I will finish!
