There is a funny thing about the people who came on just to win the money. From the ones that stuck around long enough to win, most of them became our biggest users. That is the best thing about pushing this site. It's addicting as hell! Get someone to jump in and use the site enough and they won't be able to leave. So in that way the campaign was successful. We are doing better than we ever have before in so many ways. When the campaign first launched we had spikes of traffic, spikes of activity, and users that would jump in for a day and never return. Now at the end of the campaign we are having a nice steady increase. No spikes. Just a nice steady increase. Which is way better. We now have a great core community that could be a great start to get the site to where it should be. So the campaign has been successful in many ways. The only way it has not been successful is that we had hoped that a 20 thousand dollar campaign would have been more explosive. We had hoped to make it to the top hundred thousand sites on the charts that rank websites, we made it into the top 600,000. So we came 500,000 short on that goal. We wanted to get around 5,000 unique visits a day. We have had at best 200. So we fell short on that goal too. However, with all the other successes we did have we have plenty enough of a solid foundation where we could build up to the point where we will reach those goals. So we like to think of it as a kid who got a brand new bike for Christmas when he really wanted a new car. If we are patient and take good care of what we do have we might get what we want in the end. It is all up to you users. If you each bring in a few friends, we will take over the world in no time. I hope that answers your question.

We are a website. We would like to be a bigger website. Webites never grow up. They either grow or die.

We post to the blog to announce the winners. Then said winner should contact us through the link on that blog post. If this does not happen within a week we will try to hunt that winner down. We are @heavyashell on Twitter if that helps. DM us there too.

It takes me one second to vote. It takes about 60 times that to comment. It can take about 5 minutes for a good submission. So submitting is the slowest way to gain points.

On Sunday night (11:59 pm pacific) I will grab a screen shot of the contest chart. Then I will end that contest and start the next one. So at midnight a new contest should begin for the next week. Hope that helps.
