Not in a conventional way, I don't think, as in I just sit down and draw, and I don't really look at anything while I'm doing it (unless it's a study of-course ;) ).

Bridgman and posemaniacs, are what I /refer/ to most often though, but I have gotten in the habit of telling myself that if I have to find a reference for something then I don't know how to do it properly on my own yet, and that I should go back and do some more studies.

      ffffffffffff yes <3

but only if you draw for me too!

      and I get top bunk.

p.s. your jazz has been especially delicious recently :D

This is a fantastic question anon.

I do not think I am awesome at anatomies or gestures, but I <3 you anyway.

The short answer to your question is nope.

The longer answer is, in fact I have no idea at all. I have read that memorizing the names of muscles and bones can help when drawing, I imagine in a 'this bone's connected to that bone, this muscles connected to that one' song in your head helping kind of way.

But I know no more than the average person in that I think, well this is the torso, the pelvis, the thigh, this is how they lock, twist, turn, bulge. I do not think knowing the names is mandatory, and certainly not necessary unless they assist in your personal understanding.

This is not to say that I am not interested in them and attempt to learn them with diligence, it is just that I am not interested in the investment of learning their names.

This is a terrible question, because like all things, I have over thought it.

You can do a lot with a computer, but a lot of what you can do you could do oldschool analogue. So you only have the computer /really/ for the internet. If the computer isn't connected it can't provide you with anything you can't provide yourself.

The tv can, without the internet, provide you with visual stimuli outside of your own creation. And we share tv with others around us in a familial way that we don't share with computers.

Also you have to have a tv to play nintendo. Sorry computer, even though I love you, you just lost </3

lol this is the cutest question :D

My favorite foods are fruits like blueberries, mulberries, cherries, bowen mangoes! all the dark and sweet fruits :P

Vegetables I love carrots, peas, tomatoes and meat I like Chicken and fish.

But sometimes I really like to be a kid and eat a hotdog! or cook two minute noodle omelet! <3 nomnomnom

IF THIS IS WHO I THINK IT IS, YOU CAN BET YOUR SWEET ASS I WILL. AGAIN AND AGAIN. :D

And if it isn't, then give me a moment to get who I thought this was out of the way, and then it's on. :D

oh man I know I'm a loser. The biggest reasons are because it and web messenger/ebuddy etc lag my little lappy like hell, and usually I'm doing a thousand things at once and to be honest, chatting is a hassle when I'm trying to do other things :P

I really hope that didn't cut lmao but hey a kid's gotta be honest.

Also most of the time I forget to even go online/update/sign in/hide the bodies/et cetera, you know me. :P

Because when I get emails/responses/etc that go HEY *NAME* I get HEY LOSER and it makes me lol.

I'll be honest, I started out really shit in design (like drawing and all the good things in life really), but it's one of those things I've had a big learning curve in. Especially fundamentals, to seek out line, weight, balance, reads instead of just thinking yes it works or no it doesn't and I don't understand why.

Another curve in the beginning was that too often I was limited by my knowledge in a program to get the outcomes that I wanted, so a lot of things were half baked and terrible. I had to learn that although it was a longer process, I started drawing things out and *then* try to figure out how to do it in Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign/Whatever. Which ironically taught me more about programs than anything else.

How easy do designs come? Too easy sometimes that they are irrelevant to what I'm actually designing. I think I watched too much Mr. Squiggle when I was a kid, and drew out too many myself. Designs come from doodles and scribbles and often off cut elements from other designs. So I suppose it's a bit like cloud watching and seeing different things all the time. That is my favourite approach though, but only because there is a lot more 'play time'.

If it's professional and specific though, my approach is a little different, I still 'play' but there is a definite process to assure me of a certain outcome. I go through about twenty or more little scribbles until I get something that goes 'bing' in my head (as in it is appropriate and most resembles the brief).
I will then go through scribbling more thumbnails where I push that idea in as many directions as I can. When I think I finally have something I will pop it into Illustrator and start vectoring away in black and whites. I've found that's the easiest way for me to judge where the weight and reads are, and I then have a solid groundwork for colour picking. And then I will try to push that in as many directions as I can too, with all the good jazz that is colour theory and application.

So really creating designs are, for me anyway, a drawn out process in which I am trying to find a manifestation through trials, sometimes it's right there and other times it's twenty ideas away but the fun is in finding it and making it work :3.
