      I think that the youth council need to maybe do some recruiting in the summer to get some fresh blood and enthusiasm back into the group. I think the bigger the group the more the youth council can grow through its hard time ahead!

      Yes, the Exec totally agree! At the Exec meeting on Tuesday we spoke about how we could expand the group. It was suggested that we have a bring-a-friend evening on an informal, where we could have pizza for example. We are planning going into local schools and colleges in September at the start of the new school / college year to recruit new people to the Youth Council.

      How come it hasnt been publicised? This organsation has been going for years. What is the future for the youth council, will you ever be in the lime light?

      Hi there, The youth council have their brand new website Youthbeat, which was given press coverage at the launch. We have featured in the Portsmouth News in the last year as well as appearing on Express FM in Portsmouth.

      The youth council is going under a lot of changes due to the building of the Public Service Village meaning that we don't have a designated youth council room for a while. However we have lots of plans for the youth council in the future, such as making a film for the Hampshire Water Festival!
