beats me? maybe it's because i'm affectionate/touchy with all my friends, but that doesn't mean a thing. or maybe it's because i wear beanies and clothes from the little boys section of target, regardless, it's not true and a tad silly i get asked this question so much. none of my dating/hook ups seem to suggest anything other than the fact that i am straight..

Aw, yeah I am in a really good place right now and guess I can't really remember a time when I haven't been, give or take a few weeks here and there, but I guess the most important things I do to keep my attitude/life looking up is:
- do not compare myself/my work/my life/morals to others, what is good and right for you is not necessarily what others will deem as "correct" overall
- keep busy and my mind occupied when i'm feeling down
- live for myself but also think about those around me, if i hurt people, i'll end up hurting myself too
- surrounding myself with people who are optimistic/enthusiastic about living life, sure not everyone can be all the time, but it really is a pick-me-up just to be around happy people
- making the most of my situation, everything has potential and can be improved if you're willing to work for it and remembering this has definitely helped me fall in love with my life and created the best opportunities out of things which seemed less-than-thrilling in the beginning
- enjoying learning, but also experience is the best kind of learning. personally, i need to get out there and see new things to keep myself from not going crazy
- family is important, making sure to love them everyday
i don't know, i didn't want to answer this really because i feel like i'm preaching at people and saying "this is what you have to do to be happy", because that's not it at all. just, you asked, so that's a few of the things that I do to keep me happy and keep my life a-okay. everyone has a different answer to this question, there's definitely not one way to get into a "good place". -

aw thank you, this really means a lot to hear! my parents rule and i'm pretty satisfied (although at times I wasn't, of course, you know, fiesty 16 year old days) with how they went about raising me and I wouldn't have changed anything. so thanks anonymous, for allowing me to turn this into a "I LUV YOU MOM & DAD" post.

I don't drink now any differently than i did before particularly, I drink when I like the drink, but I never drink to get drunk. I guess the difference is before it was reserved to my home because that's where I had access to wine/tasty drinks, but when that's available elsewhere, I will have some to enjoy it, but won't go overboard. I still don't think I've ever been more than pretty tipsy.

honestly, i think it was like three or four nights ago, due to stress and a pending migraine, but before that, i have absolutely no idea. I used to cry a lot more than I do now, I can probably count the number of times I've cried this semester til now, on one hand.
