I'm an avid scavenger of the internet. I like learning new things and finding stuff that delights me which is just a nice way of saying I am on the internet a lot.

In the past, anytime I found something cool, I'd show someone at work the next day or send it off in an email to a few friends. I think we all do this to some degree but I got tired very quickly of someone asking me to resend them something I had shown them before or if I could please, please send it to their friend who would also find it great. I figured posting everything I found in one place and directing people there would be a helluva lot easier. And it is. The popularity H&H has accumulated over the years is still somewhat of a surprise to me.

As for the name, there's a few reasons behind it. While part of it is a play on my last name, the name comes mainly from a documentary that came out in 2004, called Supersize Me. There's a particular scene where the main guy's girlfriend compares his seemingly growing addiction of ham to heroin. Naturally he defends himself saying the two couldn't be more random or different and that's essentially what my blog is...full of random and different stuff. Everything from ham to heroin and in between. Plus, if anything else, I also think it's got a nice ring to it haha.

So there you go--the backstory behind H&H!
