to tell you the truth, here is no reason why you should visit Jakarta. Crowded place, no air for breathing, pollution in everywhere, suck museums, a lot of beggars, and one thing you will not forget about Jakarta is TRAFFIC JAM. So, welcome to the jungle, when people will give you a fake smile because you are a foreigner, and be careful many Indonesians like to take advantages from foreigners, of course I'm talking about money. :P
well, beside that bad sides, Jakarta has many good places to visit. Having beers or great time at bar or club is good idea to kill your night time. Jakarta has known with its nightlife. Mall and Malls you will found easily in this town.
I suggest, when you visit Indonesia please visit another town, such as Bali, Jogjakarta, Lombok, Bandung, etc.
Jakarta is nothing special, only a town fully blocked by skyscrapers.
Dont worry about costs, in Indonesia everything goes cheap. :P you'll be rich since arrived at Soekarno Hatta Airport. hahahaha.. -
I love many languages. Of course, I do love my own language, BAHASA INDONESIA, thats why I choose its studies on my University. I've learn many languages such as Deutsch, Mandarin, English, and Italy. Basically, I don't have fav language, I love it all. when I was junior high school my fav language was Japanese, and when i was senior high school was Deutsch. And I loved Germany for some other reasons, :P
And now, after I'm majoring Indonesian Literature, I do love more and more my own language. but it doesn't make me to think Bahasa Indonesia is my fav. I just love. and love. nothing more. -

hey anon, whats wrong with you? if I were you I prefer to live in flat. I do gardening with my mom sometimes, but living in high flat is more easier when you haven't time for gardening. If you're still single better you live in flat, but if you're living with someone I think its good idea having a house with garden, maybe your husband/wife/bf/gf/whatever will help to take care your garden while you're off to office.

wow keren banget. haha.. karena gw punya dunia sendiri kalo udah ketemu internet. tapi bukan pelarian kok. sebenernya mungkin kalau lo nggak kenal baik siapa gw akan terasa gw orang yang diam-diam aja, sebenernya nggak juga kok, gw bakal jadi autis banget di kehidupan nyata kalo lingkungan gw mendukung, mungkin lo mengamati gw dari jauh, jadi kesannya gw diem-diem aja. haha..

kenapa harus mengasihani saya? masih banyak orang yang perlu belas kasihan. Saya menuliskan kata-kata kasar dengan bahasa asing, bukan bahasa Indonesia. Jadi saya tidak merasa ada kekasaran pada makna yang sebenarnya, beda halnya kalau saya mengumpat menggunakan bahasa Indonesia, itu akan terasa lebih kasar. Nyatanya toh saya tidak pernah kan??

kata-kata kasar itu saya tujukan untuk seseorang, lagipula saya menuliskannya dalam bahasa Inggris, jadi saya tidak merasa ada kekasaran, toh itu bukan bahasa negeri saya, saya bebas menggunakan bahasa kasar manapun, justru kalau saya menggunakan bahasa kasar Indonesia itu yang akan membuat saya menjadi tidak tahu aturan.
