Nothing comes to mind, really. There are a lot of things I like that my family doesn't like but I do, but I don't consider that "universally despised".

The hiding kind is more annoying, I'm used to being up all night with ideas. Used to drive my younger brother crazy (we had to share a room back in the middle/high school days). Either scenario doesn't happen very often anymore - I guess I'm too old or been doing this too long. "The Muse" is either there or not whenever I start drawing.

On Mondays, I never go to work
On Tuesdays, I stay at home
On Wednesdays, I never feel inclined
Work is the last thing on my mind

      On Thursdays, it's a holiday!
      And Fridays I detest
Oh it's much too late on a Saturday
And Sunday is the day of rest

Gypsy is a finite story with a planned ending, but it still has a long way to go before then. At the current rate if one page a week, I estimate ten years to complete. Hopefully circumstances will change so that I can post up to three days a week, reducing the total to four to five years.

Ardra is an ongoing series, and as long as they keep writing them I'll keep drawing them.

Can't think of anything specific, but there have been many times where I got leftovers that sat a bit too long. Couldn't get that first bite out of the mouth fast enough.

And I think I tried that fruit that smells like armpits once (never again).

Depends on where I'm working. If it's at the local coffee shop, it's whatever is running in the background. Most of the time it's divided between a chair in the living room (where whatever happens to be on the TV is running, usually house choice), or at the laptop in the basement (where it's mp3's of my music collection, or a Pandora station thingy I created). Usually something random.

I'm currently listening to an odd collection of copyright-free background music.

I have an odd fascination for Polk going back to when I was a kid and had to buy one cent stamps. I think it was because I had no idea what he did, until I drew a Polk-based 24 hour comic in 2005.

These days I've been wondering about Garfield and why someone would want to kill him. Not enough to use his coin as a background yet.

I don't think there's any food I truly dislike. There's a lot of things I haven;'t tried yet, so I may have an answer someday...

Best memory: lunch. Worst: working three days straight with no sleep on a "notebook" for a class I didn't care much for, only to be told I was "Arrogant and Not Funny".

Anything that requires a forced decision or judgment without being given/not having access to/or knowing all the facts. I was thinking maybe rhetorical questions, but they don't have to be answered, do they?

I've been given advice but no one piece of advice sticks out. A piece of advice I overheard a comic professional giving a beginner once: "They only way to learn how to make comics is to make comics." - That made perfect sense, and it has stuck with me.

I'm repeating, but the answer would be the same:

For a table it's a good idea to have some kind of eye-catching piece like a banner or a standee - those that know your work will be drawn in, those that don't get a good example of the kind of work you do. I've had a banner in the past, but they don't always work for every convention setting, so I'm putting together a 18" standee of the comic's principal characters which won't take up too much table space.

I sometimes bring some kind of "conversation piece" for the same effect. One show it was a Cyberman Voice-Changing Helmet. Kinda hard to miss.

Some kind of business card/postcard/flier is good, keep some at the table, drop some at the inevitable freebie table. Should be eye-catching. I'm doing bookmarks next, acts as a business card and is more likely to be useful to those receiving them. Freebie minicomics are good if you can afford them.

As a con-goer, I like to be able to get a quick idea of the product you're selling, the story you're telling. I can usually tell right away if it's the sort of thing I would be interested in - really true at huge cons where time is limited and there are a lot of tables to see.
