Scared :). She has the sort of determination that you don't see too often. I would not adore her gymnastics but I would fear and respect her.

Nu stiu nimic sigur dar am citit pe un forum ca sa-a retras din cauza unor probleme medicale. Acesta este linkul http://www.onlinesport.ro/forum/showthread.php?t=587562&page=25

it has to be between the 1988 one and the 2004 one... It's tough to choose between different eras and COPs but because they won the gold, the 2004 wins my vote too.

Hello! On short: no.
On long: This is very strange. Bare with me....It was a translation error I made. I was referring to a vice-champion title... The interview is kind of old and I can't remember exactly where I saw this 1994 reference... I remember that I also saw websites mentioning 1995, I was kind of puzzled. But, now I can only find references to that 1995 Junior Euro Competition on Nicoleta's website and her wikipaedia page. Strange.
Anyway it was entirely my fault. Thanks for letting me know. I need to get my facts in order :) -
Hehe ... I have no idea...
VT: Chelaru, Izbasa, Haidu
UB: Porgras, Racea and either Dragoi or Haidu
BB: Porgras, Dragoi, Izbasa*
FX: Izbasa, Chelaru, Haidu or Porgras
*Unfortunately for my eyes, Izbasa will always have more confidence than other team mates and my instincts tell me she will be chosen over the prettier beam workers ( Haidu, Racea, Andrei and the list can go on :( )
Who do you think will be in the team? -
At this point it's very difficult to have an idea of how things will be in 9 months. Maybe after the Euros it would be easier to predict. For the sake of the game, I'll give it a shot though: TF Russia, AA Weiber, VT Mustafina, UB Komova, BB Lauren Mitchell, FX Sandra Izbasa

I think it was Cheng Fei. Love her tumbling!

I don't have a favorite skill... These are some that when well executed are pretty impressive:
vault: the Cheng
UB: double double
BB: switch ring leap
Floor: Chusovitina
and many many more... I would like to know, what are the skills that people dislike :) -

Yeah, I feel the same way too... But all gymnastics commentators are like that, rooting for their respective countries... I have a funny story as well: during the AA finals at 2010 Worlds, after Anna Porgras' fabulous routine the commentators started "analysing" it: "Hmm... Ana Porgras is in direct competition with Rebecca Bross. We need her to score really really low. Will that happen?". That's a really dumb thing to say after brilliant gymnastics! But again, I understand them in a way.

Silver medal worthy in 2011. If they keep them coming, It can be gold in 2012 :)

Beam was her weakest event - although it's a bit exaggerated to call it weakness. So if she upgrades beam, cleans up her vault and stays healthy, she is definitely the gymnast to beat in 2011 and at the Olympics.

For Dana Andrei - we will have to wait and see. I mean to come out of nowhere and be Romania's all-arounder is something very difficult to achieve. They look alike a bit and Dana also favours the UB. Anna and Lilia... hmmm... they have the same body type, their legs certainly look the same on Floor. And they are beautiful! If there is a difference, I'd say Lilia was a bit more powerful. Raluca ... I sure hope so! But I see her more as the Oana Ban of the team. About the last comparison, I can see the resemblance too; Bellu always said that Simona did not have a huge talent. She just had enough talent but worked really hard. You could say the same about Diana. Of the four (Dana, Raluca, Anna and Diana), I could see Raluca matching the great career of the gymnasts you compared her with with.

Yes, I think she is artistic but at the same time maybe she poses too much and we don't see enough fluidity in her moves. It's true she has an advantage because of her long lines that catch the eyes of the judges.
