GOOD QUESTION. join all the societies you are interested in and actually go to things you promise yourself you will. actually do all of the Freshers Week stuff - as much as you can afford- because it's FUUUN. and try and make friends with your classmates. Shop in Aldi not Marks and Spencers or whatever, you need that sweet sweet cash for your new super fun college life. OH AND DEFINITELY buy one of those monthly passes for the bus instead of paying every day, I really wish I hadn't wasted so much money on that.
hmmm SCORE AS MANY FIT BURDS AS YOU CAN hahaha.
but seriously. and go to the drinks receptions. hello, free drink. AND FOOD. what more could you want??
oh also make sure you have cleaning stuff like bleach and a mop for your house early on because when it gets really grimy and you get in trouble, it'll be a nice relief.
hope i've helped. see you in college! (only if you're in mine). -
get the fuck off formspring. the leaving cert starts this day next week. you fucktard, we can't afford for you to not get into BIMM.
-
Emmm... I guess getting into university, so far.
-
a) You just think in emotions and urges, like animals. Cats don't say "miaow" in their heads. Humans are capable of thought without language, just not elaborate thought.
b)That's stupid.
c) Hm. Who tries to fail?
thanks for the question, Spiderman -
How to answer this without sounding like a big-headed bitch? I like my cheekbones. I love-hate them, but they're quite high and people often mention them, so that's nice. I wear shitloads of blusher.

YES YES YES. From PERSONAL lazy experience, you can still do it, if you start being SMART about studying now.
Work your little butt off now and organise all your subjects into FOLDERS - it SAVED MY LIFE... get TOGETHER. Go back over old notes, sort everything by subject then by topic, it won't take long and it's a cathartic experience.
GET ON EXAM PAPERS. it'll change the way you see studying. Just keep DOING, NOT READING BUT doing - no matter how bad, or rushed, or wrong - exam questions every night on the subjects. Have Monday as History, Tuesday for Irish, etc. so you don't get bogged down. Take everything bit by bit and see little mini-tasks, such as "Do 2007 Geography" then when that's done, go and do something else. Don't ever plan to just "STUDY" cos you won't.
Now is definitely NOT TOO LATE, LOOK AT ME!! i STARTED IN MARCH! Also, all these tips are straight from everyone here in college, it's how we all got the most out of exams and just then had it go right on the day. Get used to papers, develop your technique that way and you'll be great.
MAKE SURE you avail of the teachers as long as you have them: they'll love to correct anything extra you have or to read over any essays - this will be essential.
The point is: it's not too late, but it won't happen unless you start now. So don't just say to yourself "oh, it worked out for Grace and she did nothing all year"; but when I started I really tried to go hard at it, and so must you!
GOOD LUCK! -
haha! Ehh, thanks.
Well, I wouldn't say I was constantly harassed by guys trying to hit on me, or anything like that at all. Like many people, I get the odd drunken randomer, but I'm usually either flattered or creeped out. I guess if guys 'hit on' me a lot, I might get tired of it. But they don't... -
aahhh can't think of any. got Metric - Help I'm Alive stuck in my head today so go listen to that. x
-
haha, this is far too un-anonymous for me to answer that sort of question.
All I care about is the NEXT ONE, WAHEEEY, AM I RIGHT, etc.?!? -
I wrote a story about a girl who became pregnant and went through a lot of trauma trying to decide what to do. Not to give it away or anything, but she keeps the baby when she finds out her mother went through the exact same thing when pregnant with her. HAPPY TIMES.
