Poor 20-somethings who can't imagine any place being more comfortable than their home don't usually go on vacations. :P
-
:) Thank you, that's very sweet of you to say. I am only human though, so please don't be too disappointed when I show it.

Road trip across the country, or possibly the night I got stuck in phoenix overnight all by myself.
-
I probably won't have any reason to dress up... again :(
-
It used to be broccoli but now I'm not so sure.... snack wraps? pizza hut pizza with chicken, green peppers, and red onions? soft pretzels? Hmmm
-
Chill out and stop putting people up on pedestals they never wanted to be on.

There are so many things that crowd into my head when I'm asked this question. I like him more than I've ever liked anyone, and there is so much to like. It's impossible to choose just one, out of the insurmountable list of attributes that explain why I am still here after everything. Perhaps what I like best about my partner is that he's worth it.

I wouldn't say I've had an unusually bad experience, haha. I'd just say that there are two types of people who live in NC: Those who don't mind it, and those who loathe it with a passion. The people I hung out with were mostly the loathing-it-with-a-passion type.
It's not necessarily about the people in NC (although most of them do suck and the conservatism is obnoxious for me, but I do recognize that being an NC resident or a conservative doesn't automatically mean someone sucks), it's about NC as a whole. There is no art scene, nothing going on, nothing to do, the school system sucks, the legal system sucks, the politics suck, it's entirely mainstream culture... And there are people out there who don't mind that stuff so much, but there are people like me who just feel bored, caged, and miserable in a place like NC. I assure you, I am not the only one who feels this way, hahah. There's a whole lil subculture of people like me in NC... at least until they eventually get out of there. :P
But, like I said, I recognize that being a resident in NC and/or conservative does not automatically mean a person sucks. I have definitely met great people, a few of the greatest people I've ever known, in NC. But as for me, I intend never to return there, unless absolutely necessary. -
Being a mean person, being willfully ignorant and narrow minded. That kind of thing.

I lived in Raleigh for several years, and in a small rural town outside of Wake Forest for several years. Why?
-
Technically, yes I am. But at this point it's looking pretty obvious that we're ~together~ even if not technically, so it's just easier to say "my partner" rather than "my exbutwe'restillbasicallytogether."
-
Ah, thank you so much for letting me know!!
-
That's good to know, thank you! And yeah I have considered both teaching and counseling! I decided against counseling for the most part but I'm still considering teaching as a possible career. I've wanted to be a teacher ever since I was a little kid.

I think you can only get in if people invite you so... if you have anyone from R&S on your fb friends list, ask them if they can invite you in.
