Hi! First of all, sorry I missed this. I was away at the time and didn't have an internet connection for a while. If you still want me to check out your blog, you'll either have to send a link, log into formspring or use the regular tumblr ask option; I have no idea who you are and which blog to look at otherwise...

Contrary to popular opinion, I am not clairvoyant. You didn't log into formspring or leave a name, so I don't even know who you are.

I'm also not sure why you need me to tell you who you are living with? If there is anyone able to tell you who you are living with, it would be likely be you.

Thank you! It's always nice to know someone enjoys looking at it. ^^

I'm not really sure how to reply to this except with thank you, whoever you are. Tumblr is such an easy way to store and discover things you like, which is all I do here. So it's nice to know someone shares my taste in some things. :)

Hah, that sounds recognisable! I can usually sing or play it back, but actually attaching a name to it...that is a lot harder. I started reading notes at the same time I started reading, so I guess it's a lack of practicing with actually using the colours. I have some weird working memory issues related to counting, so the regular way of figuring out what to write down is a little bogged down. I wonder if it would be possible to bypass that by relying on colour associations. How interesting that a song as whole has a colour to you. I experience colours as it plays, but not a final mix.

I...really don't know. I like iridescent things best. I like most animals, but at this point most of all sorts of birds and red foxes. If I had to chose one colour it would be spring green. Or sky blue. Or scarlet. I'm really bad at choosing permanently. But I like those three almost every time someone asks.

The CD is Kywitt! Kywitt! by the neoclassical Russian ensemble Caprice. Though the lyrics are partly derived from The Juniper Tree, the song's name is Kywitt! Kywitt! too. I bought it directly from their label's website: http://www.prikosnovenie.com/groupes/capricek.html The rest of their discography is on there as well.

Thank you. =) I find out about so many new artists through tumblrs (well, new to me), and it's always nice to know other people might find some new things to love through mine.

Of the song on my blog atm you mean?

[cannot be uttered here]

      Kywitt! Kywitt! Kywitt!

Wolf and horse, old signs of might
Lend your strenght to me this night
The pain and grief they so easily give
Must be returned so they may live
To know and feel what they have done
And change their ways from harm to none
Send back the pain, teach them this night
And help them do what they know is right

      Kywitt! Kywitt! Kywitt!

Wat vör'n schöön Vagel bün ik?

Not being annoying with the "cannot be uttered here"- that's straight from the lyrics booklet of the CD. The old German part is derived from the Grimm story the Juniper Tree, the "Al, tol fel!" and following non-transcribed part are attributed to "Rresailmmeon's gang - Laoris spell". Laoris is a constructed language by the composer ( Anton Brejetovski)...or if you believe what he says, a "perceived" elven language. As they have collaborated with Dvar (the anonymous group who sing in Enochian and claim to be messengers who hear their music in dreams), I think they could be quite serious about this. Anyhow. Their official site has been down for a long while now, so if you really want to know those censored lyrics as well you'll have to ask them on facebook and see if they answer. ^^

Oooh you will? Sounds great, but sadly I live about as far from NYC as possible - near Amsterdam ( the Netherlands), actually. =(

Lo and behold, I actually know who is talking to me through formspring for once! A miracle. Btw, I'm pretty sure Cocteau made three Orpheus movies: SdP, O & TdO are a trilogy. Don't quote me on that, though. I'm sure he made at least three. Then again, I didn't know about the play. So maybe there are who knows how many more.

Hah anon, it had the same effect on me when I first bought the CD. In addition to it being the first music in years that actually managed to scare some people where noise, weird folk and strange contemporary compositions did not succeed. :) The rest of the CD is not half as striking, excepting maybe "Dandelion Wine". The only track somewhat like it in atmosphere would be "Shadow Bride" from the "The evening of Iluvatar's children" album. ^^

Thank you! It's not weird, it's very nice of you to say. This blog is where I try to find and store what inspires me, and I'm delighted when it speaks to someone else as well. Plus, there's nothing to worry about anyway - formspring makes everyone anonymous unless they are logged in there, so I have no idea who you are. :)

I believe you are right, but it is not my scan and description, but a reblog from http://dreigroschenoper.tumblr.com/'s blog. As you can see I corrected it in the comments now: http://birdonwing.tumblr.com/post/5213815425/diedreigroschenoper-lexposition-de-paris-by but I am not the original poster, so if you really want it corrected, message them. :)

Yes. I hoard secrets, mostly those of other people. If anything I am good at silence, and bad at restraining my curiousity.

Voleur de secret is also the name of Elisa Vellia's first album, which I loved: http://www.elisa-vellia.com/musique.php

If only I knew you would not need to ask. All I know is that is has to do something with birds, longing for the impossible and feet sunk too deep into the clay.

A barbie from my mother when I was 14 already & also had a longstanding tradition of beheading/otherwise destroying the damn things. It was awkward.

Dank je! Ik post gewoon dingen die ik zelf mooi vind, maar ik ben inderdaad wel geïnteresseerd in gnosticische teksten, dus dat zal af en toe wel doorschemeren.

Just anyone? Nothing in particular. A specific person on the other hand...I'm sure I wouldn't actually tell them, ever, but here it is.

I think you are amazing. And I'm sorry for being overly emotional and also bottling it all up. I know that doesn't help things. I hope you have some patience with me because honestly, I think I can make up for it. I just need some time, I think. At this moment every grain of sand looks like a mountain to me already and what you ask is more of a moderate rock size. Do you have any idea at all of how inadequate I feel? I know it's useless to dwell on it but sometimes I just feel like all I am is one big purple bruise. I'm sorry. I wish there was more rationality to me, too.

I hope this person does not actually read my Tumblr because if they somehow knew this was about them that would be embarrassing. But I think I'm safe, so...emo tulip time!
