It's been pretty great. 2009 had some great moments overall but it also had some really shitty moments that 2010 hasn't had so far so I'd say 2010 has been an improvement, definitely.
Highlight is meeting my girlfriend (I'm a soppy bastard) and some of the nights out I've had (with work people, friends from home etc.) I'm sure Glastonbury will be another highlight when it happens.
Lowlight is probably the uncertainty of my future job-wise and then the inevitable lack of money. Being a temp is really rubbish in that respect. -
I don't like the thought of just dying and that being it but I think that's probably what happens. Hopefully it isn't though
-
Probably a tie between Magnetic Fields and P.O.S. Two polar opposites in terms of genres!
I didn't listen to them earlier simply because I never got round to it and I'm lazy. Glad I (finally) did though. Both are fantastic. -
Probably on holiday somewhere. Maybe America, in a relatively warm part. Getting drunk, eating brilliant foods and having a laugh.
All my friends and girlfriend would obviously be in attendance - getting drunk and having a laugh on my own would be a bit fucking stupid. -
1. Rachel Bilson.
2. Scarlett Johannson.
3. Zooey Deschanel.
4. Torn between Frankie from The Saturdays or Shakira. Probably Shakira as Frankie is probably a bit of a benny.
Obviously picked them all because they are great to look at. Hopefully they'd all get on (me). Ho ho. -
Acting powerhouse JASON STATHAM. In reality, Danny Jones (him out of McFly as I apparently do/did look like him).
-
I worked in a fish & chip shop / restaurant from Year 10 to the end of 6th form. It was shit pay, shit hours, full of morons and I realised I never want to work in a kitchen again.
Being a milkman runs it close. -
Definitely a midget. Although logistically speaking, it would be quite difficult.
-
Nope. I used to have a moped though, which is semi-relevant and better than just saying 'no'.
(Also, this is the first time I've checked this in about two months!) -
Without wanting to sound like a cretin - generally the questions you've asked have been great. Actually required some thought.
Actual question is hard, I can't think of anything. Maybe I'd ask Andrew WK if he'd come out for beers with me or Rachel Bilson for a blowjob. Hilarious. -
Bang - Probably LOADS
Marry - Jack Marriott
Kill - None. Some are mega irritants but I wouldn't want them dead. -
I don't really have one. I can do that thing those little twats did with their eyebrows in that Cadbury advert a while back (good sentence). It's not really a trick though. I don't know how everyone can't do it.
-
I don't know, I've always wanted to live in America but having never actually been there it could just be the dream is better than the reality. I'll still say America though, any of the big cities would be great really.
I'd have a modern studio apartment with loads of awesome furniture/gadgets/appliances. -
It's hard to narrow down but a lot of the nights out in the last few years have been seriously amazing and I have a lot of memories from them. I can only really remember the nights ut from this year properly though.
Back in August I had a properly amazing week of great nights out.
I went to Bristol to meet a girl which was great, missed the last train so ended up drunkenly wandering around Bristol for the first train home. Middle of the week I went to London for a friend's birthday (went to NASIN) and had an incredible night. Waking up the next day was hilarious. Then the Friday I went back to Somerset and ended up out at the only club near to mine which was also great as I saw some old faces. Finally, the following day I went to an ale/cider festival and ended up meeting some of the Leeds lot and had a fantastic time drinking great cider and laughing more than I had in ages culminating in watching a bizarre Bowie tribute band.
Also, my birthday night was brilliant. It ended up a small gathering but I hadn't seen any of the people that came for a while so it was a great reunion and an amazing night. -
My childhood was great. I grew up in a village in Somerset called Coleford. It's quite a big village but still small enough so everyone knows everyone (great as a kid, shit when you're older) so there was always someone to play football with or mess about in the woods/fields with.
I played football as a kid but then sort of lost interest at secondary school because I didn't think I was very good and wasn't that confident.
I don't really think there's any interest I gave up, I think my interests are basically the same (which is slightly depressing). The only difference is I don't collect Pogs/Tazos/football stickers anymore and I don't think girls smell.
My best friend used to live behind my house and our gardens were connected by a fence. My Dad built a gate into the fence so we could get to each others house easily. I'm still friends with him and see him when I go back home. I see some of the other people from then in the pub and stuff but I don't really speak to them other than to exchange pleasantries I guess. -
1. Bad manners. It really angers me when people have shit manners. People that push in in queues and people that don't say thank you when you hold the door for them/let them off a train/bus before you are massive wankers. Manners don't cost anything and it baffles me why people are so rude.
2. Snow. Apart from looking nice, it's really really shit. It's just a hindrance to everyone and makes everything really cold. Cock off.
3. Early mornings. They are shit, no-one likes them. If they didn't exist, people could just sleep and then go about their days feeling better. Or something.
4. Hangovers. I'm basically an invalid the next day after I've been drinking so if hangovers didn't exist then that would make me far more productive. Although I'd probably drink more.
5. The expensiveness of public transport. Bit of a rubbish one but I was stuck for a 5th. I'd make it so public transport could only cost a certain amount. That would mean I could travel to different places a lot more often and not spend a fortune doing so.
I liked this question! -
I look like a little boy and the only Disney character I can think of that is a little boy is Mowgli. Although I'm a lot whiter than he.
Personality-wise, I don't know. Someone awesome like Simba. -
I don't know if 8 pieces of music is songs or albums but I'll go with albums cos it's too hard to narrow it down to 8 songs.
1. Jimmy Eat World - Clarity
Probably my favourite ever album.
2. Brand New - Deja Entendu
Most listened to album.
3. Frank Turner - First Three Year/Love Ire & Song.
Copying Dan's answer a bit but I like Frank Turner a lot and this gets me more of his stuff.
4. Frank Turner - Sleep is for the Week
Same as above, I guess.
5. A Wilhelm Scream - Mute Print.
Hard to pick just one AWS album but I think this is my favourite.
6. Bruce Springsteen - Live 1975-1985
Loads of Springsteen to listen to!
7. Latterman - No Matter Where We Go!
Because I always forget to listen to it and when I do I end up listening to it on repeat over and over.
8. Dr Dre - Chronic 2001
Just for a bit of variety in the music and because it brings back memories of being younger.
I was going to say War & Peace cos it's masssive but I'm going to copy Dan again and say the Hitch-hiker's Guide trilogy. Because I've only read the first two and again, it'd keep me occupied for a while.
Inanimate object - I'd have a battery/electrical supply that was solar powered along with a laptop. If I could get Internet then success, if not I'd load it up with lots of TV/films.
