ah formspring upped their security so anonymous people without accounts can't ask questions anymore. i only get one every few days now and they're exclusively pervy comments or messages my friends might as well have asked me directly.

i don't have a tumblr i use regularly. there's one i put some poster designs on a long time ago, but any tumblr ive been on is probably something one of my friends sent me, so i can't remember many names... there's a pretty good serial killer one called ramirezdahmerbundy run by some chick who used to post on this forensics board i frequented. only tumblr i've ever routinely visited.

i think changing gun laws in the hopes of modifying the behavior of people who are insane/aren't concerned with gun laws is a misguided and irrational practice.

in high-school, minus gym. in college... well. it's already been revealed on here that i never went to class. there were a few classes where i literally got my syllabus, suffered through the class intro, and then never returned except on test dates. i got straight A's on papers and alllllmost always on exams, but my poor class attendance meant consistent zeros or near-zeros in class participation. this resulted in a lot of B's, since professors that grade class participation usually make it 10-15% of the class grade. actually, i nearly failed a class for nonattendance because the professor had pop-quizzes and there were no quizzes listed on the syllabus. my mom saw my grades and was upset, so i got straight A's my final semester of undergrad to make her happy. i didn't feel at all rewarded by the experience; the only difference between that semester and every other semester was that i wasted a lot of time in class.

haha... yeah. that was a big problem for me. i still don't get it... if i'm paying for a class and i'm getting A's on tests/papers/projects, why should i be wasting my time in lectures? i'm not being cocky here, i'm just making an assertion based on my personal experiences. did i have good professors who made class attendance worth my time? yes. but that was a pretty rare occurrence. most of my university professors would spend class time simply going over slideshows that summarized the previous weeks' reading assignments. lord help the simpleton who legitimately needs someone to hold their hand through a reading assignment.

to be fair, i also had horrible "attendance" in online classes. every single class had some kind of component where i had to make a weekly posts along the lines of "hey, what's up, nice work classmate! really admirable composition! reminded me of what we learned in class about blahblahblah!!!! i suggest A and B for next time! isn't learning awesome im changing your life here" ...needless to say, i was a pretty neglectful student when it came to that bullshit.

      /rant.

i would really like to become more disciplined. one of the big issues i had in school was how slowly the classes moved and how much overlap there was from one course to another. i always have learned much more quickly on my own than in a class setting/from textbooks, so i had all these plans to learn everything i could about design and marketing once i wasn't held back by trite papers/research assignments... but now that i actually have free time, my personal studies are all over the place and i'm constantly being distracted by other passing interests. i mean... i logged so many hours last week learning about deep-sea fish, desert architecture, and face-reading (which i don't even buy into at all) that i could have spent doing something useful/practical. i really need to learn to put together a daily itinerary and then force myself to follow it now that i don't have someone handing me a syllabus.

i've never blocked anyone on facebook. i'm not sure what's up with my page right now, but it's not letting me sign in on my laptop, so maybe my account is just messed up? i lost my phone running errands this afternoon (as usual) and ever since, i've been having all kinds of paranoid delusions about it falling into the wrong hands. this question is not helping. AHHHH ALL MY INFORMATION!
