It's because the files too big :c Either make the whole picture smaller or change the numbers of colors in it.

Google images. I actually use pictures of nebulae though, so that's why you haven't found such colorful ones if you've already tried Google.

Uhmm, if you've got a newer version of Photoshop I think you click save for web and devices instead. Or maybe it just says save for web. Something like that. Then in the settings on the right make sure you have gif picked for the file type.
