Do you think it's possible to be really good at something but not love it? What therefore would be more important to you: doing what you're good at or doing what you love?
Yes, that's totally possible. I am a CPA, I can see through the complexities of local and US taxation, I can create a meaningful excel spreadsheet with a hundred magabites worth of formula, graphs, and cross references. I know the logic by heart but do I love doing it day to day and not get tired of it? Not really. I don't hate doing one when required, though.
You see, it's doing the things we're really good at and getting paid for them that can oftentimes support our need to do the things we truly love. I have grown to accept this "symbiosis" as a way of and to life. Lucky are those whose jobs they really truly love and whose passions bear the money fruit. Some of us can only afford to compromise.
