Great question--I didn't even know this question was here until now, so sorry for the late response.
To answer your question though--Both, depending upon the circumstances...at all times, use thanksgiving & praise first, then, depending upon the circumstance, do what is required.
For instance, if there is something that you know is promised to you, not just in the Word, but God also spoke it to you in your personal prayer time, then thank God for it, then declare with authority that it is yours. On the other hand, if there is something that you are unsure about for whatever reason, take it to God in prayer 1st to get clarity (a word, wisdom, etc.), then go from there!
If you need further clarity on this or you need me to answer it/word the answer in a different way, then let me know! God bless & thanks for asking! -
Zion represents Israel, God's people. Any particular Scripture you asking about? :)

I think there is some wisdom in doing this, but I don't think it's directly Scriptural, as there are no cases to my knowledge where this was done--but, I think it is proper from a revelational standpoint in most cases. Now, while I do agree that it's cool, I think it should only be temporary--it doesn't necessarily have to be permanent--just because 2 people fall into sin with each other doesn't mean that they are not meant to be with each other.
The only way it should be permanent separation (which there are cases where I have seen people being permanently separated) is if the couple sees that they shouldn't be together in marriage. But, that is for that couple individually & collectively to decide, not the leaders (the leaders should only confirm--because ultimately, that couple will have to live together, not the leader with them). -
well, the Bible tells us to not fellowship with unbelievers/the "wrong" crowd, so yes, that is sin (II Cor. 6:14-17 & I Cor. 15:33); can't say that if you die in that setting you would go to hell, but you are definitely in danger in a situation like that. God's mercy & grace play a role in the ultimate decision, which is on God; as well as that person's state of being at the time before they take their last breathe (God awareness, were they able to repent, etc.).

Thanks for asking this question. Some churches will, others won't...some church ask you to testify in front of church, but most don't.....it's sad that someone has to ask this question--now, this is a great & relevant question because the church in some ways has failed to show love as it should.

The Word speaks about kindness, so yes, this is important. God created animals & Proverbs speaks of not being cruel to animals, so I do believe that a true believer bears the nature of God in that he/she will display kindness to God's creation as appropriate.
Now, that doesn't say that if you butcher animals for eating purposes that you are being cruel, but cruelty to animals just for the heck of it is NOT Godly at all. -
I didn't break up with her....where did you get that from?
