50,000 pounds, that's about 75-80 thousand USD - I'd probably see if I could make it to a branch of the bank that holds my mortgage and pay off most of my house. That, or buy a reasonable fancy car.

What's the publisher? General condition? Usually a single volume out of a set isn't worth much.

No idea where to start. Some booksellers mention bookplates when listing a title, most don't give the name. I'd start from the other end, find out who she sold them to and go from there.

Overall, "Catcher" is probably the best piece of writing, but my personal favorite is "For Esmé - with Love and Squalor."

A loaded question. I will say this about Bibles - customers who purchase them generally seem much more satisfied than customers purchasing any other book.

I'd like to get back into distance running, I have some friends that have run marathons and road races, it would be fun to join them. For now, it's weightlifting boxes of books.
