Do not speak the L word in my presence. It must have been invented by a man, and a cad at that.

I'm a bit late aren't I? So sorry. Dark red is my favourite, but actually there were more pinks in the 50s!
-
There certainly are! Have a look at some images of Barbara Stanwyk and Paulette Goddard for 40s fringe inspiration. I just googled and found some great links!

Ah, well the wrist check thing is absolutely not an exact science. If you're finding it hard to work out your natural skin tone (and it is very difficult), the best thing to do is to go a MAC counter and ask an expert. Sorry to not be more help, but I don't want to cause you to waste any money on lippies that don't suit!
A good true red to try might beMAC russian red - it seems to work for most skin tones. -
Either the London Swing Dance Society or London Swing Cats will see you right - the first does more 8 count and the second more 6, so it's up to you!

I definitely would, and maybe I will one day :) I used to be a huge Sepultura fan back in the day, it'd be rude not to! :D

Second part first - Hot Sticks all the way! My curling iron blew up over a year ago and I have not missed it since. But they are probably better for 50s looks - as you all know, I am a 40s hair girl all the way.
In answer to the first part, after setting with hot sticks using setting lotion/mousse, I get most definite curls. After a day, these have settled down into waves. So, actually, both! And it's the best way to get more mileage from a set :) -
Well yoiu do get what you pay for with What Katie Did, so they are definitely worth the money. Saying that, there seem to be tons on eBay - you just need to ensure you go for a 6-strap suspender (the back one is important for keeping seams straight) and with metal clips, as plastic ones are useless. Do a search for '6 strap suspender' and loads come up, all around the £12 mark :)

I haven't really had a 'worst job'! Working in a supermarket at 16-17 was boring and menial, retail and cafe jobs throughout my later teens and university were hard on the legs and hands, and occasionally repetitive, and some of the writing jobs I used to do could be a struggle as far as motivation goes, due to the boring subject matter. But if you're looking for a sensational answer, then I have to disappoint!

Tea and cuddles! I only have tea to hand :(

What I'm doing now is pretty fab :)

Bless you! I'd say there's a huge range of ages, from older teenagers through to people in their 50s and beyond! Honestly, whatever your age, you'll have a great time :) so definitely go for it!

Hi there! :)
Yes I ride a bike, it's a really heavy old vintage one and I'll ride it for about an hour (half an hour each way to the supermarket) a couple of times a week. But again, I think you are confusing leanness with good posing, because believe you me, most of me is covered with a layer of insulation! Particularly in the bottom/thigh area (though this has toned up slightly since I took up cycling). I am quite a long way from being actually lean! -
Well thank you. It's pretty much just yoga and self-discipline. However it's not all that flat, really. I do have roundness there naturally, but I have spent the last 10 or so years consciously trying to hold in my tummy most of the time (and improve my whole posture as a whole) and after so long it's second nature! I try to stand up straight, not slouch and with shoulders back and tummy in etc. The yoga poses that exercise your diaphragm are really great, as when it's strong and lifted you organs have more room inside you. Combine that with relatively strong tummy muscles and it's much easier to keep it all looking flat. When I'm slobbing about at home, however, it'll usually be much more round! ;) Don't forget that I don't tend to post unflattering photos of myself, and also that during a posed photo I'll be holding my tummy in even more firmly than normal! It's all about good posing and angles, really. :)
