I prefer that of "rock", moreso in the "punk-like" category of more raw sounding music, versus studio polished... HOWEVER, I also am loving the the "new age" that has been returning in recent years.

Current favorites include The Epoxies (and by extent, Roxy Epoxy) and The Sounds, but that is but TWO of probably 30 some bands I would list as "favorites" that may or may not fit into what I just said.

For many years I've had much more of an affinity for female fronted bands.
