Hehe it all depends on the wood!! And of course the type of uke's you prefer! For me, i prefer a bass-like, more rounded kinda jazzy feeling so I went for the concert uke! If you like the high happy kinds you should go for the soprano ones! They will let you test try between the two so you can decide which one you prefer then! Of course, the better the wood, the higher the price! If you're really serious about it, you shouldn't invest in pretty cheap ones, rather, i think you should look for ones which last and at least produces a sound quality which you will never get bored of HAHA? I chose a relatively expensive one because I'm very particular about sound quality and I'm afraid that I won't be able to learn it well, hence it was like in between the cheap and expensive price ranges :) Hehe, I recommend mine though! its a concert uke, Cordoba! Alternatively, I know many ppl are investing in the Kala Ukes, they're not bad as well :) Bottom line, just go to a ukelele shop, I'm sure they will be more than willing to help you! Oh yes, I forgot! The strings are very important as well!
