obviously you have a lot of support, but do you ever get people putting you down with your photography or trying to tell you what you should change? I'm getting this a lot recently, and it seems to stay in your head more than the support.
I do sometimes, yeah. More often than not, I find a lot of people shitting all over me as a photographer and my work when I google myself. Haha, bad idea. I agree completely that the negative comments can overpower the supportive ones sometimes and stick. It gets easier, though. You just have to remember that you're doing this for you. This is your life, what YOU love. I'm a huge believer in the idea that people create their own lives, their own successes. If there's something negative in your life, remove it. You don't need it there. Ignore it. When it comes up, remind yourself of all the good things that lie in wait for you, all the good things that you already have going for you. When it comes to negative feedback, look at it this way: for every one bad comment you get, you more likely than not have a hundred positive ones. That's one for every hundred.. ten for every thousand.. Do you see how insignificant it becomes? And already is? Your life is yours. Don't let anyone else discourage you from you.
