I'm not even sure what most of the world looks like, but up in the North where North Lizard City is it's kind of a mix of jungle and desert beach. Volcanoes off in the distance and lots of tall grass, palm-type trees, and barren land. Stuff like that.

I love them all like my own, weird lizard-like children (but really I think Bartholomew is my favorite).

They're not cold blooded or warm blooded. They're kind of in-between. They can regulate their temperature within certain ranges but they need a good heat source in the cold. The Lizardmin stationed at the snow base need periodic trips inside the base to warm up or they'll freeze up.

Sorry I missed this question when you asked it!

Oh yeah, making the big bucks. Like large, over-sized fake dollar bills, right?

I like doing story-lines but they make it hard for a new reader to jump in. Also, I just right them as I go so I never have a very good ending...

I guess that would mean someone somewhere thinks the Lizardmin are popular enough that there is an audience for something like that, right? It would be a very odd compliment, I think? Yes? No?

It's her last name. The guards tend to go by their last name, like army guys. We'll say her first name is...Tabitha. She's Tabitha Masters. Bam!

If I had infinite time and money it would most definitely be traditionally animated. I really like the way the Disney movies looked when they used the Xerox method (101 Dalmatians and Sword in the Stone), so I'd like it to look something like that...

As soon as I get the funding. If anyone has an extra million lying around it would really help get things started...

...Oh, and I had to go look up the difference between "laying" and "lying" to make sure I was using the right one about the million...

I'm pretty sure I'm doing it all wrong myself. I basically have 4 or 5 layers of different tones that I created myself in Photoshop. To use them I just add a layer mask and paint with white on that wherever I want the tone to be. That way I can add all kinds of effects (like the background vertical "clouds") to the tones and paint and erase with them as many times as I need. I hope some of what I just said made sense...

I actually lose money on the comic since I sometimes pay for Project Wonderful ads on other webcomic sites and I pay for hosting of the site (well, I split it with my brother). I can't stand ads on web sites so I don't want to put any on mine. I'd have to make some sort of merchandise to make any money off the comic, but I don't really have a large enough readership to make producing merchandise worthwhile. I would really like to make some sort of Lizardmin figurines one day, though...

I write web applications and maintain databases for a small 3-person company (I work for a husband and wife team).

No, I'm not a furry. The Lizardmin aren't talking lizards, they're sci-fi type creatures. I am a decently hairy guy, though, so although I'm not a furry, I am furry.

I can honestly say that I have never and will never picture that comic in my mind (the conceiving one). As for Lizardmin/Gorillamin hybrids, it just wouldn't work. The inner conflict of being their own mortal enemy would drive them insane. Like Jim Carey...or pretzel M&Ms.

    15. Al B. Moore

I don't plan on ever actually showing the Gorillamin (I know you saw one in the guest comic my brother did, but I'm just calling that his interpretation). I think they're better left to your imagination.

I actually should check out a lot more than I do. I kind of get into a rut where I just check two or three each day out of habit and I don't even really process what I'm reading. I like Penny Arcade a lot because the art is getting really good and they are free to kind of go anywhere they want with it (I tried to do that with Bug & Worm a bit). I love comics but I end up checking different artists' art blogs more than webcomics now. I just spent a while going back over scottc's Great Showdowns (http://greatshowdowns.com/). They aren't really comics but I like them a lot and they're the kind of thing I wish I'd thought of. Another art blog favorite of mine is Jake Parker's (http://agent44.com/blog2/). I really like his style a lot.

I usually draw a hundred variations of every character I come up with, but the Lizardmin pretty much came out fully formed. I was definitely channeling the Muppets when I originally drew them. I was going to make them each have unique characteristics at first, but I realized I liked it better when they were indistinguishable from one another.

They're basically human sized. I'd say 5'10" or so (because that's how tall I am). I actually have a whole origin/history for them and the other races (Gorillamin and Octopoids), but it's way over-complex and unnecessary for a gag-a-week comic.

I try and draw comics and post them to the web on a regular basis. I don't always succeed...
