Pamela's bread mix!! it's really the best we've ever tried...homemade or not! Good luck! There is also a kneading recipe on the website. I love to knead our own bread dough!

Oh, Mondays are CRAZY! that's all. Plus, with wedding season in full swing, I am so busy. I work all day Mondays now, so I'm on the computer editing for about 10 hours...by the end of it, the last thing I feel like doing is doing a post! But check out my Pinterest account (link on blog) in the meantime. Monday lists will come back for sure soon!

She does at her Father's house (we are divorced), but not so much here. We did start something during the long winter with reading a chapter book, then watching the movie. Mary Poppins and Pippi Longstocking and The Little House series (we watched 4). It's a tough call, but I know she's already being influenced by so many programs at another house (ones that I wouldn't choose for her to watch at all) so I like to be able to offer these really awesome videos once every three months or so. But in the summer? Nope! not at all :)

hmmm...projects? like cooking, sewing, gardening? Mostly...she's always willing to help, even if it's just for a minute or two. But whatever she contributes is great! She's an awesome helper and enjoys it!

I am using the D300s now. I am going to go full frame (D700) next year, but right now this is fine for me. I'm even thinking of switching over to Canon (better lenses...and the Mark II is cheaper than the D700). Other lenses are 10-24mm, 85 1.8f, 50 1.8f, 60mm macro, and a kit lens i never use. I'm pretty happy with what I have, although I'd love a tilt-shift!

not yet...i'm actually still working on a new one with updated information and a creative guide that goes beyond basics! I hope to have it ready for this fall/winter...after the wedding season slows down a bit!

Elisabeth was 3 when she started begging me. I felt she was too young, but after a few months of her continuing to ask me, I gave in. We have a great fiddle/suzuki teacher in the area who teaches at the schools. Look for someone who teaches the Suzuki method, especially for younger kids! Good luck!!

oh gosh...i don't think i remember! we often will attempt the instant movies on netflix and watch 10 minutes before we just turn it off...we've found so many bad ones! ha!

Oh, definitely Laura and Noah's...SO much magic. Bald eagles, seals, birds, so much wildlife. Everything was there to witness that love that day :)

Sorry...just seeing this now! Well, first off...what are you looking to shoot? And yes, I still shoot film with clients: 35mm, medium format, and a variety of Polaroids.

Well, you would first start out by deciding what you'd like to be charging after you've left the "portfolio building" stage. Take those prices (do lots of research...especially in your area) and then you would create "Portfolio Building Pricing" for clients, based on a discounted price of your full prices. Let clients know they are discounted because you are PBing.
Also, go to my blog on click on the "clickinmoms" badge. Sign up for a membership. BEST money I've spent on anything photography related. I've learned so much!!! -
30mm 1.4f Sigma. LOVE it. I always have it on one of my cameras. All the photos on my blog are taken with that lens as well. It's amazing.

You could go with a basic DSLR, like a Nikon 3000 (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/635660-REG/Nikon_25462_D3000_SLR_Digital_Camera.html) with a 50mm Nikkor 1.8f lens (another $100) if she's loving portraits. That's a good basic camera that will last her years and if she's really into it, she'll get lots of use out of it!
