Well, guys being guys can be ridiculously stupid. I can say this because I've done the exact same thing and although mine was a mutual break-up, for some reason I said some hurtful words. Trust me looking back now, I'm not proud of it.
I guess what I'm trying to say is guys do these things to make themselves feel better. They're hurting inside but they're too proud to admit it so they make it seem like the other party is to blame for the failure or for a lack of better words, they want to make it seem like they're winning the break-up.
Or they're just assholes who wants to destroy your life in which case, breaking up was probably the right thing to do. -
I guess guys like to be seen as the alpha dog, the one in full control over situations. Guys don't like to be seen as weak so they mask their insecurities to make themselves feel better. It could also be just plain narcissism.
