I suggest you talk to a doctor or a professional before things get way out of hand. Starving & purging are very serious.

I'm not a doctor so I cannot tell you that. However, the period-mark in anorexia means you've got to miss it for at least three months, so I wouldn't say it's anorexia just yet. But the fact that it is so light and lasts for so little could indicate that it's going towards that way.
To me, it sounds like you've got EDNOS going towards anorexia. If that makes sense?
But do remember - I'm not a doctor so I cannot diagnose you. I don't know enough anyway. -
If you believe you have disordered eating then go to the doctors. What's the worst that can happen? :)
-
Binge eating disorder is a disorder where you eat large amount of food in a small period of time on a regular basis.

If you're developing an ED, I highly recommend you tell your parents as soon as possible. If you have reasons to believe you are, it'll only get worse with time. Believe me.
I know it's hard to do so, but you mentioned that your mother suffered with anorexia when she was younger, which means that she'll understand more than anyone. xo -
We do, but not very often. If you want to read posts about BED, I recommend http://ed-owl.tumblr.com/tagged/BED.

Purging is a disordered behaviour and not always accompanied with binges. Recovery is always possible for anyone, a lot of people do find it easier to recover with a medical team (doctors, etc) but it's totally possible without them, some people prefer to do it without, we're all different. If you want non- medical help you could always see if there are any self help groups near you, you generally don't need a diagnosis to go to them and they're not medically based. Good luck and congratulations for taking your first steps towards recovery!

Sorry :( unfortunately some confessions do slip through which are triggering, we're currently discussing this issue among the mods but should be triggering any confessions about rape or sexual abuse with 'rape' from now on so they can be avoided, I hope this helps.

There are lots of different eating disorders and also lots of forms of disordered eating, binge eating disorder springs to mind with your situation. I'd recommend seeing a nurse or health professional who can diagnose you properly, you also may like to know that there are a lot of self help over eating groups you can attend to get support if it's becoming a problem (for example overeaters anonymous). Good luck!

A common misconception about EDs is that you have to purge or starve, you don't! They are mental illnesses not purely physical ones, I cannot diagnose you but as you are attempting both behaviours and they are causing you concern I can recommend you see someone who can, maybe a school nurse or GP?

An eating disorder is in the mind, not in how you eat. You can be underweight and eat a lot, but still have an eating disorder due to what's going on in your head. Or, you could be the opposite, or whatever, and not have an eating disorder. Point is, in order for me to tell you if you have one (which I wouldn't be able to anyway, I'm not a doctor, non of us are) you'd have to tell me more about how you feel about and around food.
Anyways, from what you've said, it doesn't sound too much like an ed. Eating disorders are way complex, they're more than wanting to lose weight and be skinny. Each person will have a different thing to tell you about them, but a common trait is that it's about control rather than actually losing weight - it's just that we associate weight-loss as a form of controlling, like, it's something we CAN control (in a twisted sort of way.)
But either way, you can have an eating disorder and still eat. Heck, most of us do. Even anorexics eat. There are so many stereotypes about how you'll never catch an anorexic eat, and whatever, but that's not true. In fact, a lot of anorexic do tend to eat in front of people (even though it becomes harder and harder) to make sure people believe they aren't starving themselves.
In conclusion: The ED is in the head, and yes, you can have an eating disorder even if you eat. It's not about that. -
People deal with things in different ways and although being forced to eat may seem logical to your friend I can see why it may upset you, try to remember that although she's not helping she is trying to be a good friend and look after you, that being said it's really important you talk to her about this; maybe sit her down somewhere away from food and explain that recovery is a long process and you need to take it at your own pace because food being forced on you is only making you food worse. Hope it goes well for you!

Yes, it can be and there are many more horrible consequences. If it's upsetting you you can go to your doctor and ask him to recommend you vitamins suited to looking after your hair and tablets to control the head aches but these may not even work or just slow the hair loss and dull the head aches, you may not want to hear this but the only way to stop them is recovery. Good luck!

first off, well done on taking time off to focus on your recovery, thats excellent! as for grocery shopping, it can be a daunting task to undertake on your own. perhaps see a dietitian, and speak to them about it. its their job to evaluate your nutritional needs, to make suggestions and guide you. best of luck!

I can't answer these questions for you, the person that would know best about what a healthy weight is for you is your doctor or another healthcare professional.

and i'm really becoming obsessed with food, i can't eat normally anymore, or either i eat everything or i eat nothing, and also now i'm ashamed of saying "i'm hungry" out loud, and i don't like eating unless someone else is doing it, help me please?
Please speak to someone about this especially as it has been going on for so long, there is nothing to be ashamed of in being hungry as food is just fuel for your body (you wouldn't think of a car as shameful for needing petrol) but this is a common ED thought. You can get confidential advice from your GP or school nurse/ college or uni healthy staff x -
This is why it is so important to recover and seek help when necessary for eating disorders, please don't let a mental illness take away something you love x
-
Purging is unnatural and your body can react in many different ways, I don't know your situation and am not a healthy professional but I have heard of purging causing back pain before. Hope you're in less pain soon x
-
To get a diagnosis you will need to visit a professional, only they can diagnose you. Normally people do not have two diagnoses of separate EDs at once however there are many subtypes of eating disorders which you can be diagnosed with- anorexia itself can change from restricting to bingeing and purging subtype and there are also things like EDNOS, Bulimia with Anorexic cognitions, etc.
If you are worried or want to have a formal diagnosis of your issues please see a healthy professional such as your GP or school/ college nurse who can direct you to the right place.
