My hair color doesn't really fade (even if I wanted it to) so the color pretty much lasts for a good 4-6 weeks. However I like it to be vibrant so I'll try to re-dye it every 2 weeks :) The turquoise part fades the fastest because blue/green colors generally don't hold very well. It really depends on the porosity of your hair & the brand of dye you use. Special F/X & Punky Colors are really good dyes that I use. Atomic Pink is known to stay in your hair for forever so my pink rarely fades!

Is your hair thick or thin? And what color is it naturally? I have thick black hair and use a 40 volume developer to get it platinum blonde. Depending on your hair color/ thickness i suggest doing 30-40 volume developer. Some people will do 2 processes of bleaching.

I dilute my hair dyes in conditioner to lighten the color. Think of it as color customization. Dont dilute bleach because it wont lighten your hair as effectively.

Yes I'm a pharmacist. I wear a wig cap so I just twist my hair and stuff it underneath the wig cap and put the wig over. I have a lot of hair so it's kInd of a bitch. But it works!

You need to bleach your hair to become a light blonde in order to dye it pink. Mix powder bleach (any brand) with 30 developer and leave in for about 20-25 minutes. Depending on how thick/thin your hair is, it should get to a golden/orangey blonde tone. You will need to do another round of bleach application, possibly using 20 developer. Once its nice and light/platinum blonde, apply pink dye. Voila :) The lighter your blonde, the nicer the color will come out. Your hair WILL break off, so you have to use deep conditioning and repair treatments constantly. If you chemically treat your hair (ie: bleaching) it will always result in breaking. How much is dependent on how thick your hair is and how well you apply the bleach. I suggest bleaching your hair professionally and dye it crazy colors at home :D
