If you're in heirloom gear, the first tiers of healing as a priest are going to be a lot easier than if you did it wearing quest greens. You also seem to very lucky with good tanks who don't pull ridiculous amounts of mobs! I hope that continues to be a trend for you. I don't think anything is up, or wrong, just that you've gotten lucky. It starts to get harder to heal in instances with tab-targetting DPS or tanks with crappy gear/horrible technique.

I would love to see more things (clothing, props, areas, etc) dedicated to making WoW a more immersive role-playing experience. Currently RP props are mostly limited to what you can find during holidays (like the rose during Valentine's or the egg basket during Easter) and there's not very many areas besides inns that are conductive to random/pick-up RP, and inns are not the most ideal places to meet people anyway! It would also be cool if there were someway to RP between factions besides using the default emotes.

Having never been in a 40-man raid at-level (I didn't start playing until BC) I can't really consider them epic or not. I think having the more people working together the more "epic" a fight can feel, but it also depends on the fights mechanics. In 25-man a fight could be easier than on 10-man, for instance, because the mechanics require perfect execution on 10-man but give you a little more leeway on 25.

For my leveling spec, being shadow, I really enjoy Mind Spike. Or I did, until they made it where it removes all your DoTs already on the target now!

For holy and probably in general, I have to admit that I'm biased and say Chakra - lol

I admit, the Atonement/Smite discipline option sounds interesting, but I don't think I'd be cut out to making it work.

    6. Lilitharien & Oestrus

For Holy Priests I think Chakra is a really, really cool mechanic. I would say Power Word: Barrier for Discipline Priests but I'm not sure how cool it really is yet, especially in comparison to Chakra. I kinda feel like we got short end of the Priest stick.

Honestly, I'm really excited to see how the leveling experience has changed or been improved from 1-60. I'm excited to see how our favorite lands have changed and to see much loved old instances become new and fun again, at the appropriate level and without an 80 zerging it for you.

I can't say I'm too excited about the new races, so that's not something I'm too anxious about. But I am excited about the new race/class combos (i.e. Undead hunters, Tauren priests)

Goblins! And leveling a character from start-to-finish in revamped zones with new quests. I'm thinking of going with a Goblin Shaman, I love their totems.

      Yes and no.

I am seeing improved usage in that more holy priests are taking the talent and really want to like it and really want people to use it and see how far it has come, compared to prior versions of Lightwell.

The problem is that even though we are casting it, we are still having a difficult time getting people we group with to use it. There is a big mental block that prevents people from either knowing what it is or does at all or that prevents them from wanting to like the spell.

It has improved and if we can get people to realize that and to get used to standing in our positive zone effects (rather than just following a straight "Don't stand in stuff" mind set), we would feel better about taking Lightwell.

So, we definitely have our work cut out for us. :)

Even though I don't know much about discipline, I do think that Power Word: Barrier will be the spell that discipline priests are responsible for - in terms of getting others to learn how to use it and take advantage of it. If people choose to not stand in it or don't have the graphics to be able to spot it, it will be up to us priests to make sure we stress the benefits of it and that people get the idea that it's a good thing.

Sort of like holy priests have to do with Chakra and druids with Efflorescence, etc.

I'm still working out when the best time to use it is since I've only been in one raid since the patch (got the entire last week off to relearn stuff!). So far I've popped it as a cooldown on tanks (it's especially handy when tanks are switching as you can cover both of them) and during AoE fights like Deathwhisper (I popped it on slow moving groups when the spirits come out), Festergut (when stacking for spores) or Blood Queen (on the melee/tanks). I've yet to try it on Lich King but I'm thinking it'll be useful for Infest in the first and last phases when the raid is stacked up together in melee. For Sindragosa I can see using it on melee or on the ranged group for casters with Unchained Magic. I'm sure there will be uses for it in Cataclysm, too. It's an interesting spell and as we get more familiar with it by playing around we'll figure out the best times to pop it.

In short, yes, definitely. PW:S is your bread-and-butter spell, and you use it for everything from tank healing to shield spamming the raid—why wouldn't you want a buff to your most essential spell?

Coupled with the ICC buff, it's a 10% increase to PW:S. (Granted I don't know quite how the math will work out just yet, I expect someone more mathy than me to figure that out soon.)

    14. Lilitharien & Oestrus

Absolutely not—Do you really consider our spellset to be limited? We have PW:S, Penance, Flash Heal, Renew, Prayer of Mending (which you should have bouncing around EVERY COOLDOWN, not "perhaps" unless it's a situational fight where healing is bad like in Anub'arak P3), Prayer of Healing, Binding Heal, Desperate Prayer, etc. I don't feel that our spellset, which covers a wide variety of heal types (including HoT, single-target burst, party-wide, etc) could be considered limited at all, so no I don't feel cornered. Unlike other classes, we have pretty much have a spell that can cover any situation.

    15. Lilitharien & Oestrus

I'm afraid I don't have that kind of information and it'd be difficult to compile. My best suggestion is to go through an addon like Atlas Loot and look at stuff in the dressing room. (However some things like old vanilla Tier gear is no longer available.)

    16. Lilitharien & Oestrus

I think leveling any character can be "boring." (I, personally, don't like questing very much no matter what class I'm playing.) The changes to spellpower, mana regen, and BoA gear have certainly made some things easier (finding appropriate gear) and faster-going (time spent per zone), but not necessarily less boring. As I said in the answer to the question below, I think the best way to level right now is to chain dungeons, which I find a unique and mostly enjoyable challenge over questing.

    17. Lilitharien & Oestrus

I actually think that the best way to level a priest now, especially if you intend to heal, is as Holy or Disc and using the LFG group tool to chain dungeons. You get the best gear available as you level and a nice amount of XP (especially if you're wearing heirloom pieces).

For what I think of the new T10 4-set bonus, see http://divineaegis.com/2010/03/03/t10-bonus

As for blue slots, I assume you mean gems. I would put pure spellpower gems in there, but if you want a set bonus use the spellpower/mp5 purple gem.
