GREAT question! There are limited changing rooms down there- public toilets, actually- so normally we wear our cycling clothes down under track suit etc, and then pop that into a bag which travels back in the Hospice van for collection at the end (you can also access over lunchtime at Holsworthy).

      HI Alan

Looking to get those details out over the next 24 hours; but to let you know it will be 2-5 drop off at Golden Coast Car park, Roundswell, Barnstaple. Bring a blanket/ old duvet (non-returnable) to wrap your bike up on the lorry. Hope this helps; look for the official email out shortly!

Due to the fact we can- AND DO!- make changes to the route depending on traffic/ road works/ safety etc, right up to the day, there will not be a GPS file for the route. However, it will be clearly signposted; we also recommend riding in pairs, to help each other out.

      HI Stefan

Working on the first draft now, and expect it to be out by Monday- look for an email about that time.

    11. The Organisers

Hi Steph- the riders are due in from 6.15 onwards, so try to get there a bit earlier, to ensure a great space- there are expected to be a lot of people!

      Hi Jenny

I think the answer will be yes- both routes should be coming past the end of your road! (Although, the route is subject to change at any time, and your home may be at risk if you fail to keep up payments on it, etc etc etc). With about 5 mile or so to go o the afternoon stop, I expect to see them start passing (the Z route) about 3.40 pm(ish). Hope that helps- hope to see you cheering us on!

      Great questions, Michael.

For the first question, I would try either a comment on the guest book, or something on the Facebook group. They both get a fair bit of traffic, and would be the quickest way.

Regarding the bike, I would use a road bike, or a mountainbike- but with road tyres on. Either one, make sure you are used to riding it- that is, no changes/ new bits for at the least 3 weeks before the ride!

Helmets are a must for the ride, and I would always suggest SPD's (which you can use), good cycling shorts, and a great set of mitts for comfort. A nice rain coat is an advantage, but should not be needed, as OBVIOUSLY it will be perfect weather on the day. Hopefully.

      Hope this helps; good luck!

Hi Jenny. There is not a name for the starting place, it runs along side Church End. I would describe it as the pier, but then- I am not local! What I can say is that it is LOVELY! Hope this helps.

    15. The Organisers

Hi! There is one to download on the bike mapely links on the website; however, please remember that as previous years, these routes will be changed at short notice for logistical/ safety reasons. Hope this helps!

Hi Jon. Sorry, but that is something we can not provide. We recommend that the bike is covered by an old blanket/ duvet on the way down, which can be disposed of at Looe. Thanks!

HI Steve! You can find the sponsorship form on the link top right of the site, second link below 'Escape from Cornwall'.

    19. The Organisers

Hi! Firstly- welcome to the ride! The minimum requirement for the ride is £50 per rider, and this is something we must recommend. The aim of the ride- besides having a lot of fun on bikes- is to raise vital funds for The Hospice. If you have any trouble reaching the £100, then please contact Emma Lowe at the North Devon Hospice, and we will see what we can do. Hope this helps!

Great question! Yes, you will be able to- same price- and when you drop the bike off, let us know that you won't be on the coach. Simon
